This school is extremely racist towards white children, sometimes my kid will say something mean to a black kid and he gets a 3 day suspension, and then the black kid will make fun of him for being white and then he only gets a 5 second talk with a teacher. Teachers and principals are very biased on disciplining students

Sadly, not good thus far. My entire household is usually left feeling like teachers are putting in the bare minimum effort to get by. Kids feel there are definite “favorites.” My child has HEARD teachers speaking VERY UNPROFESSIONALLY IN the classroom to each other- ABOUT kids in the class! Who’s the best, smartest, and “I wish they could all be like xxxxx”. Heartbreaking for my kid to hear. (3rd grade)I surprisingly must agree with the other poster for the most part!!

I would give negative stars if I could... My family moves a lot, we have been to 5 different school districts in 3 different states.... do not go here....We are new to Green Scools, KIDS IN Middle and High school. Great safe city but be advised of the school districts CPM learning/teaching format in middle and high school. Tests are 80% of grade and homework is only 20%, so lots of focus on tests, and If your child doesn't do well on tests, they will struggle and/or fail. The CPM is where there is little to no teacher instruction, kids are put in groups of 4, given their assignment, and have to learn everything on their own as a group. It's fine if your child is gifted and is a self learner, all others will struggle significantly!!!! Kids are not taught like all other schools, it's crazy!!! Additional, homework is not graded by individual question, only give 100% if it looks done. Problem is, kids are never corrected when they aren't understanding so kids and teachers dont know what kids are struggling with. Then they take the tests, without being taught or homework checked, and kids are failing their tests because they have no idea what to do. And remember, kids tests are 80% of their overall grade.... with lack of instruction and lack of being taught, plus homework not being graded, plus 80% of their grade are tests... your child will STRUGGLE SEVERELY!!!! I WISH WE WOULD HAVE NEVER PICKED THIS SCHOOL DISTRICT!!!!! My husband works for a company with lots of upper management movement, we have informed them all of this issue, all have chosen other school districts. Look up cons of CPM teaching.... the cons are accurate, pros only look and sound good on paper but are not accurate!!!

My family and I move often, we have been to some highly rated schools in multiple states. This school is by far the most confusing. They use CPM teaching style, little to no traditional instructional based teaching, kids are put into groups and are to figure our problems on their own (high more than middle). Technology implementation mixed with CPM learning style mixed with common core is a terrible!
