Class sizes at Wealthy have significantly increased over the past years. 27-28 students per class is now the average. Had we known this would happen, we would have moved to Forest Hills or Byron Center where the class size in elementary is closer to 22-23 students per class. The teachers at Wealthy are great but they are stretched thin due to class size. It seems teacher turnover has increased too. The PTO is amazing.

Our kid learns a ton, comes home happy and curious, and has made lots of friends. Any problems, the teacher and principal have been very responsive. They have 3 outdoor recess every day. Specials are only once per week though and they are all a little over the top with junk food in the school and classrooms (birthdays, holidays, random...) They have a lot of neat traditions and the kids get to swim a couple times a year at the pool. We feel at home at Wealthy.

So terrible that I pulled my son out of this elementary school and wouldn't even subject my other child to it the following year.

This is an excellent school with an outstanding young principal with strong values and some truly Outstanding teachers. Student body and parents are open and friendly. It's a well educated community with many professionals, male and female. It would benefit from more diversity. Well run, happy, buzzing School.
