My experience at valor has been awesome, I have nothing against it. They have great teachers and staff members. I like how I get a good education, good teachers, good learning experiences, and the good feeling that I can actually talk to my teachers about assignments and ask them questions. I like how I can get ahead on my school work and get challenged like I need to be unlike others schools where you can't work ahead. I also like the school schedule because we get to learn then take a quick break to unwind and prepare for the next class.

Attending Valor Prep has been a life altering experience for my son. Enrollment in our local public school changed my son in a heartbreaking way. Moving to Valor brought my son back to the person he always was. Having a happy middle schooler that loves going to school is everything a parent could ask for. The small class sizes and staff that truly care are just two of the things that make Valor Prep an excellent choice for students that just don't fit "in the box"!

My son has been a student here for 3 years and we both have made some great friends and connections. The teachers are engaging and supportive. Always available to help when my son has questions. The school offers not only great educational services, but also the social events has all the students excited to participate. The family events as well are a great opportunity to build better bonds between the parents and other parents and staff

I love it at Valor! Not only do I have fun, but I can also take completely free college classes at EMCC, which is right across the street!

Great school with strong morals and awesome staff. They offer more programs than any other charter school and the staff is committed to building a great learning enviroment.They are also very dedicated to tge success of there students both in school and in preparing them for the real world. My three kids attend Valor in 6, 7, & 8th grade and from the staff to the instructors-they all have met and exceeded mine and their mom's expectations.Each of the teachers challenge each of our students in their ways. Valor teaches our students to advocate for themselves and teach life skills that will be needed, required and demanded in this life. We feel as part of a family not just a west side community.

I’ve attended this school for around a year and a half now. I really have enjoyed my time at this school, and I’ve really felt that going to this school helped me improve a lot. The school hours last four hours, which could be useful if you have a wonky schedule, but you can stay after for another 3 hours if you choose to stay after school for tutoring. The teachers here are helpful almost all the time, and really provide a nice learning experience. Great school. Great teachers. I like it here a lot.

Three of my kids are current middle school students at Valor. It has been exactly what they needed with their variety of learning styles. My autistic son has thrived on the schedule of 4 hours of in person classes and flexibility of online coursework. I cannot thank the staff enough for how they teach the kids how to advocate for themselves and celebrate each child’s individuality and strengths and help the kids work on their weaknesses. Highly recommend!!

My kids have been going to Valor for almost two years. We have been enrolled at the top charter schools as well as public here in Arizona and Valor is by far the best experience we have had. It’s the best kept secret in education. My daughter is taking college classes at Estrella Mountain Community College, paid for by the school. It’s an amazing opportunity that they provide! On top of all of that the staff and teachers actually know you and your students and care for both.

Currently, my son is attending 10th grade at Valor. He has been there since 7th grade. The big mega high schools were not a fit for him so we were drawn to the smaller family atmosphere at Valor. He loves the hybrid schedule and taking college classes at EMCC. He has also had some wonderful teachers. The front office, support staff, and admin are amazing! They are always just a text, email, or phone call away when needed. We are very thankful to have found Valor!!

I've had two children attend here for high school and it has been a wonderful fit for us. The hybrid learning model allowed my kids to not just learn the academics but also how to work as a group, how to be a leader, how to motivate themselves and others, etc. The opportunities they had to attend classes at EMCC for dual credit also gave them each a head start on their college careers. The staff are very engaged and actively involved in each students education. If students are struggling there are tutoring hours available every school day for students to get the help they need when they're not in class.

This is our first year at the school and so my learner is having a great experience! Welcoming and lots of options for electives. Great response with the teacher and coaches.

My 16-year-old is enjoying his educational experience at Valor. He is currently a Junior. Valor offers a smaller, closer-knit school environment and culture but does a great job providing student activities, from unique electives to dances and camping or other travel opportunities. My son is taking his nursing program prerequisites at EMCC through Valor's dual enrollment program. This school provides a wonderful opportunity for students to get a jump-start on their college courses. Students should be prepared to use their time management skills to complete online coursework. Plenty of support is available when needed. There's a bit more emphasis placed on presentations and group work during in-person class time.

Great school! Staff and faculty are so supportive. Being such a tiny school they do their best to make everyone feel included. The only recommendation I have is no online teachers, use only in person for better student retention.

There is great community at this school. The teachers know each student and really care about their academics, but more importantly, about how they are as people. Valor teachers and staff make it a point to greet the students each morning at the gate for drop off and say good bye at pick up. I have been apart of the Valor community since the beginning and it gets better every year. I love the flexibility that I can pick my student up at dismissal half day, or he could stay for tutoring time and 1:1 project time with the teachers. I have access to discuss my student with the teachers and the principal easily. Everyone cares and that is very important for my family.

We were looking for something a little different, that gave the balance of homeschooling online and a half day learning in the classroom with great teachers and the bonus of making friends. Valor is that perfect blend that gives kids lots of opportunities to thrive in their own learning styles as well as more freedom and time to just be kids. The staff is very supportive and connects with each student and family. They acknowledge students hard work, kindness and growth in such a genuine heartfelt way during award ceremonies. The students work is transparent and parents are always in the know. We are so happy we found this amazing gem of a school and family!

This school literally saved my son. He was in a public middle school getting bullied daily and his grades were Cs and Ds. This was a change from all his previous A's and B's work. He was depressed and anxious. Finally in the middle of his 7th grade we found Valor Preparatory. He started there right away. The teachers and staff were all very supportive and had and understanding of what he had gone through and assured my husband and I that there would be no bullying at a Valor. After starting at Valor I could see an instant change in my son. He was happy to go to school, he was very comfortable with the smaller atmosphere. He was also fitting in better with all the kids. No more anxiety or depression. I'm the past he suffered daily stomach aches at the public school, but at Valor those went away too. When report cards came out and we saw that he had received all A's, we knew we had made the right choice. He is now a Senior and graduating with a full scholarship to his first choice college. I couldn't be more thankful for Valor and proud of my son.
