I have two children at this school. One is special needs, one is not. They both receive a solid education and generally LIKE going to school. Any public school is going to have downfalls beyond the school's control. Yes, the campus is older and in need of a makeover, but they are creative with paint, kudos! The teachers care so much about their students, it's very personal and refreshing in the overcrowded school systems. Administrative, aides, and volunteers... WONDERFUL! They can all tell you EVERY child's name. From a parent that has seen many different schools in many different states... this is not a bad school!

12 years of experience with Patrick, 2 children, numerous school activities, volunteering in classes & occasionally substituting. I am disappointed in many of the reviews left by parents who strike out against this amazing school in anger, without educating themselves. The only thing this school needs is better support & resources from the District administration. The buildings are from the 50’s and need repair, (there are serious issues that need to be addressed) the staff needs another teacher & smaller class sizes. They need to stop changing principal leadership and support the staff they have. Gold Hill is a small, cheap to live community that is filled with low income families. 85% of the enrollment is LOW income. Patrick is a small (under 300 students) & is the best part of many students lives. This school is the most needed for this community. These students regardless of their income status have so much potential & the staff at Patrick make sure they get every opportunity possible. If the community demanded better attention & resources from the district, this school would easily be #1. Spend a day at Patrick, volunteer in a class, have lunch with the kids, talk to them & you will find they are happy, love their school, full pride and adore their teachers. Educate yourself about the district and take the time to meet the staff. Than make a decision. This is an amazing school.

It hasn't been a good one. On the exterior administration seems to be caring but a deeper look shows they seem to think they are doing enough just by being there. They do their job and absolutely no more than their job and no more than an average to lazy job.

I love this school and am so glad my children attend. Small schools are the way to go.

It's been disappointing. My grandson is a smart boy and I wish he had better.

I feel safe with my child attending Patrick. They (the staff) care about the kids and it shows.

The School is a reflection of the community and vice versa..they don't even seem to notice that their school is a 3.
