Bayer has been a gift to our family. My children have been attending since preschool and continue to be successful academically through middle school. They have given my children a love of learning, which is priceless!

BAYER IS HANDS DOWN AMAZING FROM SCHOOL MANAGEMENT, TEACHERS, FACILITIES, AND CURRICULUM. WHEN MY KIDS LEFT TO BASIS, THEY WERE ABLE TO SKIP A GRADE UP FROM TESTING LEVELS. THE MOVE HAD NO WAY DUE TO SCHOOL ITSELF, JUST DISTANCE FROM HOME. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANYONE WANTING THEIR CHILD OR CHILDREN TO HAVE AN EXCELLED LEARNING EXPERIENCE. ALSO NOTE THE CLASS SIZE TO TEACHER IS VERY LOW, MEANING MORE SUPPORT FOR YOUR CHILDREN.

I was really surprised by some of the negative reviews but our personal experience has been overwhelmingly positive. I currently have 2 children, with our third joining for the next school season. My children there have been at Bayer since pre-K3 and have progressed through elementary. Academically, my children are so far ahead of where we feel they would be at any other schools. This is also reflective in their standardized testing scores. While testing scores are important and we value education, my children jump out of the car in the morning because they are happy to be at Bayer. They also play “school” at home, which is a testament to the warm and friendly environment. School is not a chore for my children like it was for me as a child. Is it expensive? Yes, but it is an investment we feel like is well worth making. The small class sizes ensure that we are familiar with the teachers and the other parents at the school and that our children get the attention they need. Any issue or perceived issue we have faced (whether it be a conflict with a teacher or child) is promptly addressed with clear and open lines of communication with the teachers and administrators. Our family truly believes a Bayer education is a gift and we are proud our children attend this school.

We have been at Bayer since its inception. Our daughter just graduated from 8th grade in 2021 and is now at Xavier College Prep. We definitely feel she was well prepared for the journey to an accelerated high school. She is currently in honors classes and AP. We appreciate the teachers, staff, principal and all Bayer has done for both our daughters. They have grown and matured into intelligent young ladies, and we feel Bayer has helped them to be organized, accountable and more confident. Our other daughter is currently still at Bayer and is a high achiever. She will be in the first graduating class from Kinder to 8th grade when she graduates from Bayer. We know she will also have the same experience in high school. We have absolutely no regrets in sending our daughters to Bayer and thank the school for everything they have done for our children. We would highly recommend this school. Regarding COVID, they did an excellent job last year with the on-line option and on campus teaching. We didn't feel our daughters missed anything academically. We were so thankful they were at a school which had good policies, and were ready to teach our children even during a pandemic. Knowing the small class sizes, we knew they would always be safe. We honestly cannot say enough great things about Bayer.

Have you ever had a relationship that you wanted to work ? I wanted Bayer to work for my children and for the west valley, but unfortunately, it didn’t. Many children have undiagnosed special needs which holds back the rest of the class. Extraordinarily overpriced and understaffed. Take it from me. I tried it for four years.

Bayer is a decent school if you never encounter an issue or disagree with a teacher. It's unfortunate that Bayer allows such deplorable behavior from a teacher. I can't look at Bayer the same way knowing that the Principal was willing to ignore the students well being to retain a teacher with multiple complaints.

I rarely write reviews as my expectations are extremely high. When I make the effort to write the review, it is because the review is well deserved. I strongly disagree with the "parent"s review dated March 24, 2019. I have both a boy and a girl at this school. There is NO evidence of partiality towards any gender, ethnicity, race, creed, values or beliefs. While I do not know the name of this "reviewer", it appears to me to be someone with a specific vendetta. Communication is an art required by both parties.

All schools have their strengths and weaknesses. I really believe the administration and the teachers are working together to help support exceptional students.

My son has been at Bayer for five years, since Bayer opened its doors. There is no place he would rather be. The teachers are fantastic, caring, & supportive. Administration not just listens to suggestions and concerns but takes actions as well. Each year the curriculum and programs get better and better. What this school has accomplished in its very short 5 year history has been amazing!

First few years after inception, it was great. It was still run by the original founder. Once they hired this new Principal, things went haywire. They have issues in retaining teachers and lots of partiality and bias towards girls and put down boys in all ways possible. If you want a private school for your girls and you’re a rich family, that hates boys, this is for you. Otherwise try other private schools in the valley.

Amazing. If only all kids could have such an educational foundation the world would be a better place.

We couldn't be more pleased with the staff and teachers of Bayer. Our oldest daughter has been enrolled at Bayer for three years beginning with the PreK 3 program; she will be starting the 1st grade this fall. Her reading, writing, math, and problem-solving comprehension are incredibly advanced for a 6-year-old. The teachers she has had in the three years she's been at Bayer have all been committed to their kids and their success. I can't speak to the negative comments regarding this school. But as a parent of a child going into first grade and of one going into the PreK 3 program this fall, I would recommend this school to anyone who is willing to put in the work to be successful. Bayer is a challenging school, the teachers and curriculum ask a lot of the kids and their parents. If you are not willing to work hard with your child and show them how to work hard, they will not have a good time. Our daughter has learned the value of putting in work and seeing the payoff. I think in today's world, teaching respect, hard work and discipline are very important. These are things that a child barely out of Kindergarten is learning. This is a great school, and I am excited to watch our children grow and learn here.

All about appearances. They seem to be focusing on early grade school enrollments. I've heard many bad things about early school programs but I can't attest to them specifically myself. The people I have spoken with are credible & intelligent individuals currently looking for new schools. I can speak to my later grade school experience w/ my son. My son is a high achiever, driven, well-mannered individual. This school has done their best to tear him down and demean his value as an individual though! The mean girls and certain donor kids rule the roost. Dream up your worst nightmare of entitled rich kids and double standards and Bayer School will certainly fit the bill! At admissions certain promises were made by a very competent saleswoman. I believe she would have said whatever I wanted to hear, though in practice through the school year these promises, ideals and character couldn't be further from the truth! They hire "impassioned" non-accredited teachers which initially I thought wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, they have a passion for their subject, and some for being friends with the pervy older boy, and little else when it comes to basic classroom management. Even in classes with 10 kids or less! The music teacher even runs his own "free range" school. He has major issues himself but ultimately it rests on the shoulders of "WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD HIRE THIS GUY!?" The principal seems disinclined to mentor or guide teachers who may ultimately be competent teachers w/some basic skills & tools. There is a very Pro-Girl culture here. The principal and some teachers seem to be on a crusade against boys. The girls know this and take advantage of the favoritism at all times. If you want your boy to be programmed into thinking he has less value than the spoiled and entitled girls then this school is for you. If you have a high achieving young lady that is being raised in a merit based culture of personal accountability this school is not for you. The rot exists from the top on down. What a waste of $12K for a year's tuition. I was hoping this school was an option for higher learning in the NW Valley, but unfortunately, you'd have to be high yourself to send your kid here... unless of course you are a disciple of cronyism, favoritism and entitled intellectual depravity!

My child is a current student at Bayer. I have done extensive research on charter schools, public schools, and private schools in our area. There is no comparison to the quality of curriculum. Our experiences with both staff and teachers have been postive. They listen to our concerns and they never hesitate to discuss an issue and have listened without judgement. They work with the parent and student to find a resolution. We have had nothing but positive relationships with parents and school personnel and our student has only experienced positive support from classmates. The small class sizes are an additional benefit for all students. The environment is nurturing, academically challenging, and stresses charcter development. This school works at developing a partnership. All parties are responsible and play a role in the success of the student. This supports my philosophy on academic success it takes all doing their part and being held accountable.

Wonderful experience! Middle school teachers are amazing. Curriculum is very advanced and the small class size is a plus. We are very happy here at Bayer!

Excellent curriculum and incredibly kind teachers! I vow there is no other Elementary/Middle School in Phoenix as good as this one. I definitely recommend this to anybody looking for a small, yet highly advanced school. The students are mostly kind, and are severely punished for bad behavior. Definitely worth all the money! Some reviews state otherwise, but please, do not listen to them. They are only trying to stir up trouble in a perfect little school with a great curriculum and amazing enviornment!

When we first began with Bayer, we thought it was a good starting place for us until our daughter reached 5th grade, then we would move her to Basis. We have watched Bayer grow and excel since it's inception and now truly believe there is no place in the valley where she would receive a better education. The academics and character program far exceed our every expectation and challenge her to grow intellectually and socially every day. Additionally, every person at the school, at every level, has a vested interest in her and her success.

This school is a MESS. I hate to say it because we had such high hopes. The Lovelady family has ZERO experience in education outside of their parents starting a school fifty years ago. Since Bayer school started it has been over promising and under delivering every school year. It's frustrating to see your child struggle because they cannot get their act together. The "board" that is listed and registered with the state consists of people who are no longer at the school or involved.

This school is sold as academically rigorous with supplemental learning and growth opportunities available. I have found it to be somewhat above average academically. I've found there to be quite a bit of favoritism at this school. The incessant tattling on the children's peers and making up stories by some kids and the teacher and administration encouraging such abhorrent actions to leave much to be desired. Kids seem encouraged to tell on their classmates for the slightest of normal kid-like actions! The principal clearly states she doesn't actually want to get to the bottom of things but rather she wants to make sure the "offender" kid understands the rules and expectations of Bayer! Honesty, personal integrity and responsibility be damned! This school needs a change in leadership.

It is the people at this school that make it great. Amazingly cohesive and positive.
