Why is this school rater so low? The test results have improved dramatically in the last year (post-covid) and the staff and teachers are amazing. We had our kids in 9/10 school in California and it was terrible.

Overall, Carver has been excellent. The facilities are beautiful, the staff is excellent. My child was recently diagnosed with ADD and the staff at Carver have been very accommodating and helpful in getting the 504 in place, to get my child the assistance needed with school work and testing. I'm unsure why this low rating of such a great school in a very beautiful neighborhood.

This is our 3rd elementary school and we absolutely love it. All teachers we've had and dealt with are amazing and nothing compares to feeling your kids are safe and informed at school. So grateful for this school and our new neighborhood.

The old Carver and the new Carver have the same administration. I have been very pleased with the principal Mrs. Bottlinger. She was involved when I got my 3/4 year old son enrolled in speech therapy and she was very close to my 8-year old son. She gives him a hug every morning, and she knows ALL the kids' names! Mrs. Bottlinger and Ms. Lauer love my son and are dedicated to all the children and their educational growth. His teacher has great communication with parents. The new location is beautiful. I'm so glad we moved to Georgetown and I'm so proud my children attend Carver.

This school seems to be pretty good for my child. I have not seen any impressive difference coming from a difference ISD. Its closer to home and he enjoys all the activities and the proposed learning. Although, we are happy with the school, I must emphasize that it may not serve all children the same. The administration is a joke, if you send an email to the principal she can careless to reply or not. I do not preach to her and some of the residents of this community do, you have to earn my respect for the quality of work you show. Needless to say, I won’t speak much for her. My son’s teacher is great, he has been fortunate enough to find someone who can encourage him to do better, she always communicates with me and promptly replies to my emails, which is good. I have seen children in her class that did not do as well as mine did, and its ok, not everyone is meant to get along, so if your child doesn’t establish a relationship with a certain teacher, ask if he/she can be relocate to another class. Overall, the campus is great, clean and its great condition, as to oppose to the old location, which felt old and needed extensive renovation, and not to mention it was on a poorly maintained neighborhood. We are so glad we don’t have to drive there anymore, so yay to that. The school has computer lab, well-conditioned classrooms and a great outdoor playground, my guess is they really invested quite a few millions on it. It also has a running track where the kids can run, walk and do their “fun runs” (event happening every so often). The cafeteria has an open concept model, it is clean and easy to navigate, but the food is not great, there isn’t many options, so I would recommend pack a lunch if you have a picky eater.I have not seen any bullying or significant event that may raise a flag, kids seem to be polite and well educated, with the exception of some, of course these happen to be all over, just teach your child to keep his/her distance from children like this, and you will not have major issues. My child had an incident and I handled it directly with the teacher, she was able to easy the situation so that is great.

First off, WHY build a Georgetown school so far from city limits? It's impossible to there without a car, and believe it or not their are parents in the Georgetown community without transportation. I guess they don't deserve to go to school functions and be actively involved in their child's learning. Smh. Secondly, the location is absurd. Good luck if your child is a car rider. Plan on being there 30 minutes early to sit in the traffic that backs up all the way the highway. There is NO CROSSWALK to cross the busy multilane highway. I see second and third graders crossing there without an adult. Drivers coming from the round rock direction cannot see these kids past the traffic backed up in the turning lane. There is no reduced speed here as the school was built just far enough off the highway. I suppose it will take a child getting plowed over by a car going 55 for Georgetown to actually think this through. My son LOVES his kindergarten teacher. He says for the most part kids are respectful and friendly. He enjoys school and he seems happy there. He also loves his bus driver, who I'm thankful for. There was a sub driving on one occasion and she was a real wench. I haven't had any issues with administration, it seems to be a good environment for the kiddos, Georgetown, as usual, was asleep during the planning stages, thus the 3 star rating.

My three children have attended Carver Elementary for the past 7 years while it was a K-2 campus. Two of my children currently attend the brand new campus, and I wouldn't want them anywhere else! My kids have attended other schools in GISD, but Carver teachers and staff are the best in the district! They are supportive and encouraging to students and parents, and they strive to make every child successful!! My children LOVE Carver, and they are receiving a great education from amazing teachers! The environment at Carver is always positive and inviting, and that is a direct result of the leaderahip of Nancy Bottlinger! I am completely grateful for this school and everyone in it!

Note that the previous positive reviews had a different administration. This review is for the new Carver built in Teravista that now serves PK-5th grade. This is a closed campus. Parental concerns are dismissed and teachers are unwilling to communicate with parents to help solve problems. The principal, Nancy Bottlinger, is the most ineffective administrator I have ever encountered. We have experienced four different Georgetown Elementary Schools and a middle school and this one is by far the worst. If you can keep your child from attending here, my advice is to do so at all cost. Special needs parents, stay far, far away.

My autistic son with severe behavioral issues has been attending for about a week now. The staff has been beyond amazing. They call me frequently for updates, they are very conscientious to ensure that they don't violate our beliefs (as Jehovah's Witnesses we do not celebrate any kind of secular holiday like Xmas, Easter, thanksgiving, birthdays...). They were super fast at getting him services and accommodations set up. I didn't feel bullied at his ARD (IEP) meeting. They went out the way to really make us feel at home. I really can't say enough good things about the staff.

Carver rocks! The teachers and administration love the children. The students learn in this very nurturing environment. Kudos to all there.

Best kept secret in Georgetown! It is impossible to find anything negative to say about this school as a whole.

I want to thank Mrs. Collar for making my sons 1st year of school the best! He enjoys looking foward to going to see her each and every day ready to learn. She has been in touch when he was out due to his surgerys, which is going above and beyond! We just wanted to say thanks:) The Penas(Brandon)
