The administration doesn't care about the children or staff at the school. Very inexperienced principal is more interested in his status than the education of the students. I have witnessed (as a parent) the principal yell at staff publicly more than once. Unprofessional and not a good example for my children. Bullying is tolerated and the principal does nothing to stop it

Simply the best, yes, better than all the rest.

We recently moved to Georgetown and I was concerned how my children would adjust. The teachers and staff were incredibly supportive and welcoming. I notice that there is a heavy emphasis on rewarding good behavior rather than punishing bad, and that seems to be making a mark with my kids - I'm noticing positive and confident changes in behavior even in this short of time. Overall, our experience at the school - academically and socially - has been incredibly encouraging.

I have three children who went through this school system and although there were some teachers that did not recognize individual styles of learning, over all the system is a very good one. All three of my children went on to obtain masters degrees and have professional careers.

Treachers are excellent here!! You can tell they truly want their students to exceed. The school is beautiful, very clean and upbeat appearance. My daughter is in 4th grade and she is very engaged in learning It is a very safe, secure building which makes me feel very much at ease.

Georgetown is a nice town to raise a family but the schools leave a lot to be desired. We were very disappointed with how poorly they were run. There was a huge lack of supervision. The school apparently monitors the feedback on this site so without a doubt whenever there is a negative comment, shortly thereafter some "parent" will post a five start review.

Small town feel with teachers that care. It's a great place to raise a child, with extensive focus on developing critical skills.

We moved to Georgetown because we thought the town had great schools. What a huge disappointment. Right from the start, our children were constantly being bullied. The bullying continued non-stop in the classroom, at lunch, during recess, on the school bus and during gym. The teachers, principals and superintendent refused to acknowledge it as bullying and failed to take proper action to make it stop. This school system is seriously lacking in discipline. We ended up taking our children out of this school system for their own safety. Before enrolling your children in this school system inquire about their declining enrollment and why so many seats are now available for school choice. Ask them for an exact number of children who have transferred OUT of the school in the past five years. Also inquire about the high turn-over in their staff and how they handle bullying because they do not adhere to what is written in their own school handbook. Ask them why their budget for fiscal year 2016 is taking funding away from school security, the nurse and lunch room supervision, textbooks and instructional computers? For your child’s sake – do your research before enrolling them in Georgetown schools.
