My son ended up getting pulled out and put into homeschool because the teachers here DO NOT CARE. They bully the kids, and I know for a fact I am not the only parent who has had a child in this school that has experienced this. The rating of this school should be the worst in the area by far.

This is now my son’s second year at CVMS, he has loved his time so far. I’ve had great interactions with staff and teachers. They put the kids first and insure their own emotional wellbeing and safety are the top priority. A child that feels safe in their environment, appreciated, respected, and cared for, creates the best recipe for a healthy learning environment. My son’s test scores and academic success over the past 2 years are living proof of that. The staff at CVMS get it and fully embrace this style of teaching and it has been life changing for my son. My daughter will join him from the elementary school next year and I couldn’t be happier. Middle school is so hard sometimes, but this school truly is a special place we have all come to love and are so grateful for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts CVMS!

This school is one of the best schools I have ever been to, the staff and administration are respectful to students. The school teaches students basic life skills and the tools needed to succeed in life. The school's subjects cover all of the subjects like U.S History, Maths, Science, and even more AND, the musical programs are very very nice and enrich our minds.

The principal and vice principal are extremely disrespectful and rude. While meeting with them, the principal made inappropriate gestures towards me with his hands. Both neglected to introduce themselves. The principal kept his back turned towards me the entire time. I wouldn't bother voicing any complaints or even asking to speak to them for clarification on anything happening at this school. Exact words from one of the men were, "I can't be expected to memorize all the rules of the school." One of the secretary's is always hostile and rude on the phone as well. She's clearly always looking for a fight and likes to antagonize people. She escalates situations, turning small matters into huge matters. I can't wait until my child is out of this school. It's a highly unprofessional setting. It's no wonder so many children are disrespectful around this area. They are learning it from their schools admin staff.

My daughter has not received much assistance with anything in this school. She has stayed after school for tutoring, but because she already has good grades they didn't have time to help her. Instead she was ignored during the tutoring. Some of the staff didn't agree with her choice in music and style, therefor she was subject to adult bullying. Some of the staff was blatantly talking about her choice of style while she was aware of it. At this young age all children are trying to find who they are. The adults and staff should be supportive regardless if they agree on the color and style choices. I understand kids bullying other kids, it's common and we have all had to learn coping skills. However I don't agree with adults acting like children, when they are supposed to be the role models. I believe in raising strong minded and willful children who question ideals they don't understand. Apparently that is not a positive thing in this small town. Some of the teachers have been very engaging, actually interested in what the kids say, interested in how they learn and supportive of their young minded choices. Creating dialog and pushed to think outside the box. It is because of those teachers I gave the 3rd star.
