I have nothing but good things to say about this school, the staff, school board and even the community. All four of my children have went to Walnut Bend. I have had one graduate from the school and I have one still enrolled. Anytime I have had questions about homework, school activities, or anything else the teachers have been very helpful. The school communicates very well. They communicate using notes being sent home, messages on Facebook. I have even had the school call and text me with information. My son was having problems with a math topic that I could not help him with. I was able to meet with his teacher and got a crash course so I could help him. The school board and prinipal have done an excellent job bringing in advance classes, visual and performing art programs as well as many other programs. The teachers trained so they can help kids at all education levels. They focus on the child as an individual not just another kid in the class. The school also provide free breakfast and lunch to all students not just the low income. They also supply all the school supplies for the entire student body. I am very happy with the education my children have recieved.

Walnut Bend is the worst Elementary I have ever dealt with. I can never speak to anyone when I call. I have left my number more than once for the principal to call me and she never does. The administrative staff is very rude and never seem to have any answers or useful information. The school makes in impossible for parents to be involved.
