I have 3 kids at Figarden. My oldest is in 2nd grade. We have had a great experience with the Pre-school, TK, Kindergarten classes/ teachers. They were/ are very loving and caring. As far as the 1st grade teacher I haven't had the best experience. My oldest was getting bullied and it took a whole week of me calling with getting no return call. I finally had to go down to the school and pretty much demand to get some answers. Things are better now but it's mostly by my doing. I had to talk to his teacher and tell her what's going on. The principal couldn't be bothered. On top of that it is pretty much a plain school. No extras. No after school programs, no Christmas program, no themed days I've seen other schools have. Needless to say we are looking for another school.

This is a great school. My kids have been going there since kindergarten. Sometimes my child comes home terrefied though. They say they see this mysterious girl standing in the feild. Has anyone else experienced this?

Figarden needs more academic afterschool programs. Because of budget cuts, most teachers do not stay after school to help tutor our students. Luckily, as a very involved parent, I make time and spend over 3 hours a day doing homework with my children.
