Teachers are rude, lazy, and they don't teach properly. This school is also very greedy.

I have two kids who go to this school & they enrolled three years ago. One is in elementary School & the older is in HS. The way al-Mamoor dealt with Covid-19 was unbelievable. The support children received during the peak covid days was better than NYC schools. I have my nieces & nephews going to NYC & NJ schools & al-Mamoor's support during Covid-19 exceeded all schools I know. The environment is great as well. It is a small school so everyone knows each other & students are not cramped into classrooms. It is very easy for teachers to monitor kids. I am writing this review after several years of enrollment so this review is not based on emotion. It is based on experience. My advice to anyone who is thinking about placing your child here; visit the school & meet the principal & then make up your mind. Enough said!I truly believe al-Mamoor school has great potential. May Allah grant them success.

My daughter is in high school & VERY happy in the school. She went to a great NYC Middle school in fresh meadows which is one of the best in NY(Ranked #12 in NYC Middle schools). We thought she should get Islamic environment for high school & enrolled her in Al-Mamoor. She wouldn't go to any other school!!. Very satisfied with her education & her grades show. Of course the resources, building & other facilities do not match with multi-million dollars high schools in our area, but my daughter gets Islamic environment & competitive education. At the end of the day, that is what matters to us as parents. It isn't like NYC Public schools are free of all issues. Al-Mamoor school was recently on local news when one of the high schooler got full scholarship to a college in Brooklyn. They have a child who was accepted to Barnard College this year. There are 12th graders in this school who got over 1400 in their SATs. If you are interested in the school, just go & verify all this information yourself. Don't just take my word.

Teachers take things way too seriously over small stuff, but won't even care to tolerate literal harassment. This school is sometimes really greedy and didn't even have the funding for heaters during winter, many students had to stay at home. The amount of homework that is assigned to students are insane too.

REALLY BAD SCHOOL. They are so biased with the students and prejudiced with the students that sometimes make trouble, staff is very rude and unfair. I sent my child here, they don’t give any chances for him or anyone there unless they are the best of the best. Some teachers are lazy. School doesn’t care about student’s mental health. Very very bad and underdeveloped school. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHOMD HERE!!

it is a great school. The activities are good, and the teachers and staff are nice. I've made some friends here and there, and i did some activities.

I would recommend Al Mamoor to anyone trying to go to an Islamic school. It is the best among all the Islamic schools in NY. Be it the Islamic aspects, academics, or staff and teachers, it excels in almost all areas. In just a short period of time, the school has advanced and improved. The students are made to feel very cared for and supported. It has definitely been the best experience for me as a high school graduate.

This school over all is ok but not the best school ever went to. The teachers were really nice and did explain most of the questions. And they did have some pretty cool events there. I guess it was a fun experience.

Excellent Islamic environment. I am very happy that I sent my son . 100% better education there than Public School. The students are more advance in education than Public School students . I am very proud of Almamoor students.

Awesome school. Follows all NYC school curriculum and teach children discipline and respect each other.
