They do have best infrastructure and resources. But cops in school?? Hope after the George Floyd wave of protests they got rid of them like in many schools all over the country. Why does the black and brown students policed like this and it is normalized. Cops really don’t stop school shooting as evidence by recent shootings in the country.

I have 3 kids in the school. A pre-schooler, 1st grader and middle school. They love the school and have loved all their teachers. The teachers do a great job in keeping the kids motivated to do better. A lot comes from home. While teachers are what starts the learning, parents at home need to make sure they follow up with school if there are issues. So many times i see the blame put on the teacher but the teachers can’t be the only ones held responsible. If my kid gets a bad grade and he didn't really apply himself, you can’t hold the teacher responsible. It has to be a team effort to see kids succeed. In my 5 years there since moving here the teachers have always been supportive and encouraging.

I have been involved in many schools and the care from the staff here is amazing. Crossing guards, secretaries, custodians, teachers and administrators are all kind and really take the time to give my kids what they need.

Franklin Borough School has been an amazing learning experience for all of my children. Unfortunately people from our area of New Jersey have given the school and town a negative reputation, when most actually know nothing about the town or school. From a demographic stand point Franklin is lucky to be considered very diverse in comparison to other Sussex County towns. We have old time “franklinites”, who share so much history, as well as many new fresh faces, who want to make franklin a better place to live. We also have both low income and extremely wealthy. I thought shielding my children from everything in life was the “right thing” to do. I Now understand that children learn best from experiences and exposure. Franklin school has many dedicated wonderful teachers who are an asset to our world. All of my children have flourished in the K though 8th grade school. I have also read numerous educational statistics that conclude that children in a K to 8th grade school graduate with higher self esteem and less mental health issues than those that transfer to a middle school. Franklin school is on the rise and the recent standardized test scores corroborate that. I highly recommend the town of Franklin and Franklin Borough school.

The worst ever, never have I ever experienced such disgrace from administration and teachers in my life. It is disgusting and humiliating when I have to acknowledge my child goes to this school. It gets even better with the uneducated parents that know nothing outside of Franklin, I truly pity this town and cannot wait to get out!

My children are attending the school for a short time. They are not having a good experience. As a former student I will say it has come a long way but still has a long way to go. My daughter felt like she repeated most of her schooling. She just wasn't challenged. There aren't many activities or programs for middle schoolers. Spanish isn't offered to any of the students, it is a special. Typically it is standard in other school districts. My daughter loved her teachers. They really want to help her succeed. Which made her very happy. My son has a disability. He needs extra help. However isn't being helped at all. His education is lacking and nothing can be done to help him. They aren't able to help a child with a any type of learning disability. That was my same experience as a child when I attended the school. I just don't think they have the knowledge or funding. I can't blame the teachers their hands are tied. My children attended a top notch school in NJ prior to coming to Franklin. The education here at Franklin is mediocre at best. I will most likely move so my son will have a better education.

I am a parent of three children who attend Franklin Boro School. Like many other people within the community, I had a negative view on the school and allowing my children attend Franklin. Over the past 7 years, I have been pleasantly surprised at the level of education my children have received. The teachers and administrators truly care about the children and go above and beyond to ensure that all needs are met, from both an education and community stand point. Many of the disgruntled parents I have encountered are not involved in the school, nor do they take responsibility for continuing to teaching their children at home. It takes a village to raise a child. We all have to do our part by getting involved. Instead of spending time posting negative rants on social media we as parents need to attend BOE/PTO meetings, volunteer in the class room, and spend time with our children at home. We must become the change we wish to see in the world. – Ghandi

Terrible school and I'm a PARENT not a "disgruntled" person who used to work their like someone said below. These parents are speaking the TRUTH! I was told by many parents not to send my child there but I took the change because it was close to home. The first day the superintendent and principal acted perfect! Then everything changed, their speeches at back to school night were just that, "speeches" with meaningless words because they never follow through with anything they say. I was told to call if I EVER had ANY questions or concerns but when you do you're treated like it's NONE of your business and they don't want to tell you ANYTHING. I then went to the MR. TURNER and he was TOO BUSY to talk about this because he has other students and parents to talk to and didn't even take my name or number to contact me at a later date. Horrible school. Do your research and don't listen to their propaganda.

The education my son is receiving is mediocre at best. Some of the staff members, like the aids at lunch and recess, are rude and verbally abusive. Recess is a joke. The kids play for maybe 15 minutes if they are lucky. The upper administration, especially the principal and the superintendent (worst offender!) is more concerned with where the parents park and the flow of pedestrian traffic through doors than the safety and happiness of our children and the quality of their education. We actually have received numerous notices limiting where we can park, threatening tickets from law enforcement, and notices setting policy of which doors can be used for entrance and which for exit, at designated times. Ask me how many notices or communications I have received when my child is falling behind in schoolwork, or when there is an outbreak of headlice, or when my child has accomplished something great. None. Should you voice a complaint about a teacher, the head administration will defend their staff, as opposed to looking out for the best interest of their students. There is just too much wrong with this school. It should not be the teachers and staff against the children and parents, but that it what it feels like. I really would like to see an environment where the teachers and parents work for the happiness and success of the children together, but that is not happening any time soon in this school. While there are some great teachers in this school who we love, the bad really outweighs the good.

This is by far the worst school ever they have dumb security rules which involve locking the gates in the morning making my son late every single day but if its more convenient for the principal that way then let the children be late!!!

I have attended this school for 6 years and this school is terrible. The teachers are not professional . They barely give sky homeweok and there is always vandalism everywhere. The staff does nothing about the students and completely ignores there idea. They make kids miserable. All the students get bad test scores because they don't learn anything. There are no advanced classes for smarter students to take and food, teacher quality, and learning is horrendous.

I dislike this school because they are racist is some ways and the food is sometimes not fully cooked. The boys bathroom always has inappropriate messages. I notice the teachers are always on their phone and computer doing what they want to do. If I can't go on my phone why can the teachers. I also notice some drinks that are non-water drinks. Once again unfair. This school needs to shape up. The most succesful thing about this school is.... NOTHING! Did you know a student was choked until his face was blue. Guess what his punishment was? NOTHING! Just because he has mental issues.

We have attended Franklin Elementary for the past year & a half. The staff is wonderful, very little turnover. My son has blossomed in this school system, and I am so grateful.

My children have attended Franklin School for 5 years and have learned a lot from their very qualified teachers. The teachers get the students interested in the subject matters, they give varied book reports, and in the early grades are very firm on students reading and recording their reading time every night. My children score well on tests and homework, and they are given more advanced reading and taught more advanced ways of solving problems so they stay interested. I believe the administration maintains good control over the students, and I have been in the school and watched the children walking quietly and orderly within their lines. During parent-teacher conferences, the teachers are very thorough and address any concerns you have about your child. My daughter is very inspired by the principal and feels honored to be allowed to have lunch with her and other students on occasion. I think both the teachers and administration are doing a great job!
