We are a transfer family, and we have really felt so lucky to be zoned to Needham. The teachers are amazing, our child is flourishing and has made tons of friends, learning more than her last school, and the community is fantastic. They always keep us up to date with anything going on and I feel any concerns I have are heard. We are a military family and appreciate how they go the extra mile to make military families feel seen! If you are considering Needham you will be in good hands!

We have loved being a part of the Needham family! We have a kindergartner and a 3rd grader l, and transferred last year! Every teacher is so kind, the principal remembers my kids names and we never feel in the dark, and always feel like our voices matter and are heard. I highly recommend this school

Both our daughters have been Needham students. Mr Purlee is an excellent principal and the teachers have been amazing. They truly care about our children's safety and educational growth. I am so glad we live in this district and have been a part of the Needham family. The group of friends and classmates our older daughter made at Needham remain a good group of kids excelling in the intermediate school. Our younger daughter has one more year to go. Then I will be sad to no longer be a part of Needham, but grateful for the investment they made in our family.

This worthless excuse of an elementary school thinks that the best idea to stop a fight on the playground is to immediately call the cops on a child with Autism and traumatize them for life. All because a teacher accidentally got hit when trying to break it up. I'm sorry but ISN'T THAT THEIR BLOODY JOB?! What kind of monstruous, disgusting human being (let alone a teacher) would call 911 on a child for literally doing nothing wrong. Shut this place down!

In 2005 I was a new student at Needham Elementary that moved from the Pittsburgh, PA area. The change was drastic since I had moved away from pretty much my entire family & all of my friends. The atmosphere was so different compared to my old school, though. I did so many little things that were different to what my new classmates did, & instead of being mean about it everybody was kind & respectful & helped me feel at home in the strange new world I was forced into. I went on to excel at playing the flute & saxophone throughout middle school & high school after my leaving elementary school, & the staff was very supportive as I went through an extremely emotional phase in the fifth grade. Though since my leaving the principal & music teacher have changed, Mr. Pettit is just as fun as the old principal was, & definitely works hard to fill the shoes of Mr. Cragen. And the new music teacher used to work for the middle schools & let's just say she's a bit more suited for Elementary school teaching (a bit too basic, but she's a great fit for the job). My youngest sister is about to graduate from Needham & I couldn't be happier with how she's grown up before my eyes at Needham Elementary

Snobs nothing but !!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE school, Never in my years of sending my child to school have I Ever been soooo FURIOUS with a school system!! The teacher is a snob the principle is RUDE and I'm pretty sure by the way they talked if you don't have money then you don't belong there I would stay far far far far away from this school. My kid also went to Northwood and I absolutely Love that school breath of fresh air when I made the switch very kind respectful and the staff is not rude and stuck up with their head in the clouds !

This is my daughter s first year at Needham Elementary School she is in the 4th Grade and it is an excellent school. I m truly impressed with my daughter s teacher Mr. Ramey is an awesome teacher and is very involved with the students making sure they excelled and very involved with their parents and is always going above and beyond his call of duty we need more teachers like him. I truly like the way my her teacher keeps the parents informed by e-mail, Face book, Power School Grade Progress site and by his class room web page. The school can improve on more parent involvement and more physical education during the week for the children during the school year. The Principal Mr. Pettit is really awesome as well with his involvement with the students and parents keeping them informed and always going that extra mile to making sure everything is going smooth. The staff at Needham Elementary School is so nice and very helpful and always going above and beyond their call of duty. I just wanted to say thank you for all you do and a pleasant place for my daughter to attend school and a great year.
