This particular school I would rate as average. The bad eggs bring the rating down. The middle school and high school teachers are much better in this district but there is always a few that don't seem to enjoy their job. The other reviews that give five stars for this district probably didn't have the pleasure of experiencing some of the unfortunate below par teachers.

List Elementary is an excellent school along with the middle and high school. Every staff person is very patient, friendly, and top notch in helping every child. The communication between school staff and parents is above excellent; I have never seen or heard of anything like it. All the staff welcome parent's input whether it be by e-mail, phone, note, or an appointment. They all care about each child as if they were their own and want every child to succeed to their best ability. They go above and beyond what normal teachers, principals, and other staff members of other schools would do. Our community truly cares about the sucess of all our students and supports them in all areas. All three schools highly encourage parent involvement and input which I believe shows in their National ratings.

We have just moved back to Michigan after being out of state for 2 years. My husband's job has him in Auburn Hills, but we decided we needed to move back to Frankenmuth for the great schools. It is a wonderful town to raise children, small community with great people who are friendly and caring. It is really like a town full of family helping to raise all the children.

Teachers are very involved. They take your child as an individual and try to make them a better student. Our children's teachers have always gone above and beyond with any difficulties to keep us informed and suggest ways to help and improve our childs learning.

My husband and I moved to the Frankenmuth area in the fall of 2010. We choose the Frankenmuth area because of the schools. We have two daughters - one of which attends List Elementary. The staff at List welcomed us from the first time we stepped in the doors for a tour. I intentionally toured the school during the school year so I could observe the interactions between students and staff. To this day, I am amazed at the patience and respect the teachers model at List Elementary. My daughter met with the school counselor to help with the school transition and the teachers worked with her to catch her up academically. The teachers welcome parent volunteers and encourage communication with regular newsletters and emails. Student learning is supported with technology in all grades and students are encouraged to think beyond the obvious and asked to explain their thinking at a higher level. Expectations are high and teachers give the students the tools they need to meet the expectations. It was hard for my daughters to leave behind the family of friends in our old community. The Frankenmuth schools have made the transition much easier and we are very happy with our descison.

When moving to Michigan we were very concerned about finding the best school before we settled in an exact location near my husband's new job. We "shopped" for a school and found exactly what we were looking for and so much more at List. The staff is amazing. The truly care about each and every student. The curriculum is wonderful. Each child is challenged and given opportunities to excel. The community is also wonderful. The support they give the schools is incredible. I love this town and I love our schools! We found the perfect location in Frankenmuth, and in List Elementary. I am also confident that we will have the same positive experiences at Rittenmuller Middle School and Frankenmuth High School.

I have 2 boys who have been at List since Kindergarten. While every school has it's share of "issues", it is how they are dealt with that makes the difference. The teachers and staff at List Elementary are second to none! I would not consider another school in this area for my children. This school is filled with caring, professional and experienced educators!

We moved 3 years a go and one of our best experiences among many other was the school for our 2 kids, 1st and 4th grades at List, everything from the facilities, staff and school leadership are best in class, great focus on kids development in every aspect

My children THRIVE@List Elementary. I have 4 students there&have found every teacher to be fantastic&very receptive to any comments or suggestions I might have&they ALWAYS appreciate volunteers. The school has a very welcoming feel both during the school day&for the NUMEROUS after school programs that go on. The school is extremely safe with one entry point by the office where you need to be buzzed in during the school day. My children are excited to go to school each day &the only hard part about being in this school is keeping up with all the fantastic programs&special days that are planned for the students! We have been in 2 other school systems in 2 other states&I have never seen a staff this caring&this dedicated. The teachers utilize amazing technology in the classrooms that keep the children engaged&this technology is like giving everyone of them a front row seat. I have been involved with reading groups in 2nd, 3rd&4th grades where the students get to break in to small groups&really dig in to literature& share in this unique sized environment. I can't say enough good things. Your child is not a number at this school but more like a family member.

List Elementary School is the BEST of the best! The principle and teachers always put the needs of the students first. Last year I had 2 children in school, one at List Elementary and the other in a neighboring school district, the school district we lived in. Hands down when it came time to choose what school district to be in, we packed up and moved to Frankenmuth, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The transition for my oldest child, whom was attending the neighboring school district, was smooth and he couldn't be happier. The principle, teachers, and staff made it so easy for him. Academically this school is awesome, smaller classroom sizes, always tons of fun learning going on, and all kinds of school and after school activites. To end, we we wouldn't want to be in any other school district. If you want the best for your children, List Elementary is it!!!!
