This is a great school, and I would encourage you not to read too much into testing scores. As a Title I school, almost 60% of the students are from low-income families, and some come to the school not even speaking English. This makes the school look bad on paper, but I assure you they're doing a great job with the hand they are dealt. If you support your child at home, read with them, encourage them, and are an involved parent, they will excel at FOES! Title I funding means that they have access to technology that other schools don't. Our 3rd grader has his own Chromebook provided by the school, and his teacher makes great use of the technology in her daily instruction. She also texts using Remind regularly to give reminders and updates. She is always accessible and responsive and accommodates students' needs. Go Cardinals!

I pulled my kids out if this school, because they were not getting the attention they need. Some of the teachers are nice, but some of them look like they are just there for the paycheck.

Both of my children go to this school and I have found that the teachers and administration work tremendously hard to educate the children. I also believe that a child's education starts at home, and it is important to monitor my kids development.
