My two sons attended this high school. They both took AP courses, which helped prepare them for college. There were also many extra curricular activity opportunities. The grading system was confusing. It didn’t seem like even the teachers could figure out how to effectively grade with the 0-4 systems. It made it especially confusing since all of the grades had to be converted back to the national standard anyway, so it seemed like a waste of time, energy, and funding to not just stick with the traditional 0-100 (A through F) grading. Another frustration would be that students are allowed to have their cell phones through the day. This is a huge distraction and cell phones are not conducive to a productive learning environment. Other than special or extenuating circumstances, parents can leave a message on phones that can be received during lunch or after school. If it is serious or time sensitive, they can contact the front office. As with any school, there are a lot of students and parents that are “victims,” regardless of their circumstances, so those people are distracting in and out of school, and exhaust much of the teachers and administrators time and energy. Overall, we had a good experience and would recommend the school. There are many opportunities to learn and grow, if you choose to take them.

This is school is biggest bullying and those staffs don’t care , school cop said the students have “freedom speech”. And Male cop can go to girls bathroom if he wants to. It’s not safe school. Their academic are not helpful and their teaching suck!

I went here my freshman and half of my sophmore year until I had to move. This school is the best school I have ever been to, and I have been to a lot considering I am a military child. The academics are amazing! I have never been so challenged in a school until I went to FFCHS. The computer system is great it makes life 10x easier and we don't have to take a technology class because of it. The sports here are amazing and you can really find where you belong they are very welcoming. I recommend the school to anyone who had PCS'd to Fort Carson. You won't be sorry! Hope I find a school like that here soon!

The school is filled with military kids! Everyone who attended this high school are nice. If you're nice to everyone here, you're good to go. Sports here are good. People say the academics here are difficult, it's not if you study and pay attention. I now attend Mesa Ridge. Also an amazing school(:

FFCHS is a great school, their lap top program is set up to help kids be prepared for the real world of technologies. I have read other parents complain about the program however, I feel that if you do more than talk to your child when needed in regards to rewards and punishments they will not abuse the privilege. It does have down sides which is why I did not give a full boat of stars, ( I have had 2 kids go here, one has graduated already and the other graduates this year ) Both my kids ( 1 boy and 1 girl ) have had issues with teachers losing assignments even when turned in online, I started having them take screen shots of the uploaded assignments and having to send emails to teachers asking them to look for the assignment again to which they found that which was lost.

I love the district. The only thing that I do not like is that the school does not offer the option of not giving your child a laptop. My son has been there for 2 years now, and this is his last year due to the laptop. I really would prefer my children to have access to them, but not on a daily basis to take home. I would love for my child to pick up a book, and use a pen and a piece of paper. My son is no too responsible with the laptop. Although the rules are set, he still visits Facebook regularly and he downloads movies and music to watch and listen to. He is told that it is for homework, but he is a teenager with a laptop. He will be going to Mesa Ridge next year to use books instead.

I went here my freshmen and sophomore year. I didn't really like it. The teachers were ok. The problem was that kids bullied me just about every day which kinda ruined it for me. If your fit in with the people there, then it will be great. If your like me, then it will be terrible.

I went here two years before I moved. I must say that I wish I could have stayed. The school was well kept, the teachers knew what they were talking about adn made an effort to keep class fun, the students (especially in the honors classes were amazing), the school was all around awesome. The sports program is outstanding with caring coaches, the sports complex is top notch, their are clubs for every student. I couldn't ask for a better school. The laptops are a major plus.
