The administrative leadership of this school is excellent! The teachers are highly educated and respond to the needs of the students and their families.

Wonderful school! Some reviewers mentioned needing a new principal, which has happened. I’ve been very impressed!

Erdenheim and Enfield. Enfield is a sweet wonderful little school with a terrific leader who is professional and polished. She is enthusiastic and you can tell she really wants to make Enfield the BEST it can be. Erdenheim, on the other hand, is in dire need of a new principal. Every year I cross my fingers that she retires. She is unprofessional and unpolished--a stark difference to the fabulous other principals in Enfield, the middle and high schools. The teachers at Erdenheim seem like they could use an innovative and progressive-minded leader! It's elementary school for goodness sake--experiment, be creative, try new things in the school. This school is nuts and bolts. Sad. The children are brimming with curiosity and energy. This principal squashes people who think differently. On another note: the new superintendent is amazing--polished, professional and very smart!!

I have two children in this school, a year apart from each other and they just started 3&4th grades today. We've had a full school year of experience with (2) second grade teachers and (1) third grade teacher. We loved one of the second grade teachers, was neutral about the other and absolutely couldn't stand the third grade teacher. The school itself is new and has a nice environment. Nice facilities and classrooms, nice outdoor play areas. They have some wonderful programs. There is a very active PTA but it is extremely cliquish. There is a lot to like about Erdenheim but there is quite a bit of room for improvement.

There are too many staff members from the township. It is uncomfortable to take your kids out to dinner and see their teacher at the bar. The principal is clearly living for the pension and does not know or does not care what goes on in the classroom or the gossipy faculty lunch room. If one teacher doesn't like your child, watch it! They TALK and soon your child will be in trouble for everything! Not a nice place at all.

I have recently moved back into this area (I grew up here and attened the old Erdenheim) and I have to say, that while Im sure the distrcit itself as a whole is suffucent in its teachings of the children, the staff of this school, mainly the principle, is seriously lacking on ANY people skills. There is no warmth, no personality, no genuine care for the parents or their concerns. It really feels like its just a job to them. Do what you have to do and go home. An example? What kind of priniciple makes a new student, who is there to tour the school and MEET you, who is nervous at seeing such a LARGE school, sit all alone in the office for 45 min while she talks to the parents. Nothing more than a hello and goodbye to the child. No interest in getting to know him, no inerest in making him feel at ease and welcoming him to the school. If this is the face of the school, I am extrememly leary to send my children here. I am looking at other districts, even if I have to pay taxes in two districts, that is how unimpressed I am with this school.

The overall school district is nice. I loved Enfield The principal will greet you as you walk in the door. She always shows a positive attitude. My experience with the Erdenheim principal is another story I have walked through the same door with her and there was no Good Morning. I have also witness her with the staff very Tuff. I think she should probably work in a community that doesn't expect a friendly smile.
