My daughter seems to be average in academics but excells at this school. I would like to see her challenged more. The music program on the other hand has been surplrisingly pleasant and should be recognized as my daughter was a first year violin player and seems to have done very well due to the teacher. I have witnessed the director first hand and he is engaged and passionate when directing the younger muscicians. It would be detrimental to lose him as an educator.

We love this school. We have two students attending. Both are high academic achievers, active in music and enjoy art, and all of the other extras middle school has to offer, but most importantly, are enjoying happy, socially healthy, age appropriate middle school years. School staff is top-notch. We feel lucky to have our kids attend this school.

One thing that I've learned, over the years, is that IF a child likes a school and likes and respects the staff.. they will learn; if they don't, they won't. I am so impressed with the basic caring shown by the MEMS administration and teachers. I like the nightly 'updates,' the special programs and the fact that the teachers appear to respect their students as individuals rather than numbers. Other schools may have a higher 'rating' but for an all-around institution that apparently seeks to foster self-esteem and character as well academics, MEMS is a five star.
