I have children in each of the four schools and throughout our 5+ years in this district I can say that I agree with the previously submitted reviews. The one thing I would add is that Festus is absolutely HORRIBLE with teaching our children HOW to study!! The teachers are great at giving study guides that practically all but read aloud the answers to the kids. New technology and BOOKS should be a higher priority than anything else. And the sports that they offer are few and far between. However...compared to the other schools in Jefferson County, Missouri, I have to say that Festus tops most of them. Especially, Pevely & Herculaneum.

I am a student at festus high school, I have to say that I've enjoyed my teachers but I think the 4 years I've been here it has gotten worse. The school is way over crowded and we have trailers because are school is to small and not enough bathrooms for the girls, they aren't the best. I've seen better. There is a thing called pass (failure is Not an Option) that you must attend Mondays, wednesday at 2:45-3:30 fail to do so there will be the next intervention. Us kids who have jobs hate even if you have a job it gets in the way.

Quit spending money on football fields and spend money on books. Parents have said their children receive zero homework because there are no books!!! Pretty crazy!
