I would highly recommend this school to anyone. My daughter is a third generation Dragon and we wouldn't have her going anywhere else! The class size to teacher ratio is wonderful and the staff genuinely cares about their kids.

Mid Buchanan is a GREAT school. My son loves it. He is in 4th grade and has loved all of his teachers. The principal, Ms. Smiddy, is nothing less than amazing. I would recommend this school district to anyone. I am aware they do not compete in the spelling bee, but I do know that they have the option evey year, but the majority of students choose not to participate, which is fine with me. I know my son will do great at this school, and I will make sure he stays in the district. Thanks Mid Buchanan!

I have a special needs student in this district and love it. Every staff member looks out for my student and works as a team to make sure success is attained. The no tolerance bullying policy is strictly enforced and the students are caring and respectful. The PTO & staff, including the principal go above and beyond for special events!

We live in Mid Buch's school district but do not send our kids to this school. This elementary does not offer spelling bees, geography bees and academic teams for the students to participate in. We were told that the elementary principal believes that competition is too stressful for the children! If your child excels in academics and likes to participate in these events - then this school is not for you!! We've never heard of a school not competing in a spelling bee!!! Unbelievable!!!!
