Farwell Elementary does a fantastic job with student and parent engagement. Several times a year they do family events that my kids look forward to all year - sledding down the big hill in the playground with parents, reading nights, carnivals, etc. As far as academics, our teachers do an outstanding job of connecting with each of their students on a personal level. Teachers go above and beyond to make sure every single student is getting what they need to be successful. Paraprofessionals are second to none! We have many supports available, such as paraprofessionals, health professionals, social workers, OT/PT/Speech Pathology - any service that could possibly be needed to help our students achieve greatness. Farwell community recently passed a bond to do some construction on the Elementary, including building new classrooms that will give students a safe, bright, and technologically sound place to learn. Farwell offers preschool and daycare for families as well, which is a great service for families in the community, so all students can come to one place.

This school used to be a wonderful school! Most if the teachers are now bitter over staffing changes and it trickled down and is seriously hindering education. The AIDS are a joke! They bully small children and lack empathy. We moved to clare schools a year ago and have had NO problems what so ever. The elementary principle is amazing! Please Farwell schools get your focus back!

Most teachers at this school are very good with the children and my son seems to like them. What he don't like is getting lost during pick up time. The security in this school is horrible. I have seen many parents upset because they have to track their kids down and no one seems to know where the kids are. Pick up is a joke, there are maybe 15 parking spots and 50+ parents trying to pick up kids. The only security they have for stopping someone from just picking up your kid is that some one has to sign an unattended paper saying you took them. From what I've seen, most don't even bother to sign it. I grew up in this town and have seen this school inside and out. I have tried to point out the problems they have but i am just one person. After hearing about all the things happening at schools anymore, you would think they would try harder to make parents feel that their kids are safe when they are at the school.

i think it is a great school and the school should write to schools in Delaware or Florida to understand what the similarities and differences there are in these schools.

This is a great school with excellent educators, programs, administrators and parent involvement. The children have one on one computing, foreign language and a variety of core subjects that take them beyond grade level. They have an opportunity to be involved in many extracurricular opportunities, including Odyssey of the Mind, Lego tournaments, musical productions and many sports. I can't say enough positive things about Farwell Schools.
