I love Farmingdale public school systems. I went to Saltzman, Howitt, and the high school and I have to say that we are not just a community, we are a family. The schools brought us all together. From concerts to athletic games it was always a great time to be involved with the school somehow. “Once a Daler always a Daler”

It all depends upon the teacher, administrator and situation. If you are lucky enough to have a "normal" bright child they will do well. If they are different you will have to fight for them to get the help and respect they deserve.

Teachers are actively involved with student's education. They take an interest in student and work closely with parents to help improve academic performance. A real sense of community within the school. Excellent principal who stays on top of his students and the school runs smoothly.

The FHS is an amazing school especially if your student wants to work. The teachers are great and the principal is one of the best I have ever had. He gets involved with the kids and really cares about them.

Farmingdale is an great school if your child is motivated. My son received a full scholarship due to his hard work and talent. Everyone knows a few LOSERS at any school who don't do as they should and blame the school. There is TOO much positive to dwell on the negativity. Everyone deserves a good education and can get it IF they apply themselves and this is true at ALMOST any school.

i went to farmingdale high school for the first 2 years of my high school career. it has a major drug problem in the school. the staff doesnt care they let the student do what they want and not punish them i use to skip half my classes every day did nothing when i did go and still passed. there auto tech program is a joke. students could walk out when ever they wanted and they would do nothing. the staff lets the students that participate in playcrafters near disturbed asbestos hanging off old pipes.

I am a senior at FHS and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. I have academic and personal support from any adult in the building, their goal is to see everyone succeed. My auto tech class is fortunate enough to have two lifts and a lot of equipment that lets us do more than just an oil change. There is an extra curricular activity for everyone and most people take advantage of it. The environment we have is really unique, truly like a community of our own. There's a class for almost everything to. And when its time to graduate, they make it easier for you to apply to colleges. I'm proud to be a Daler.
