Class sizes are ever expanding (some grades have 8 classes with over 30 kids per class), the school doesn’t allow any parent volunteers or visits, all events must be held outside because there’s too many parents to have them come inside the school building. Not enough paraeducators or inclusion helpers, and they will fight tooth and nail not to grant IEPs and 504 plans. Meanwhile the school has brand new developments that keep getting squeezed in right beside it or directly across the street so that more kids can enroll, and the county won’t even fully fund the school system’s budget.

YBES has a small tight knit community feel, despite it's size! The administration communicate well and provide great support for the kids and their families. The teachers here are incredible! They do a great job grouping students, so that their individual needs are met especially for Math & Reading! So happy with YBES!
