Our family moved to the area last year due to a military transfer from FL. Unfortunately, the educational system in FL is lacking and I found all four of my children were behind by MD standards. FLES welcomed my youngest two children with open arms and provided them with the necesary support to get them where they needed to be. They LOVE going to school here. They're safe, happy, making lots of friends and getting an excellent eduction at FLES!

We have had 4 children go all the way through FLES from K-5 and the school is simply outstanding. The teachers care about their students and the administrative staff is always available to discuss the growth of your child. My family has been working inside this School district for 4 decades and this Elementary School is at the top of it's class.

My child adored his teacher this year and his experience with FLES. Wonderful school community and very pleased so far with all aspects - academic and social.

My daughter graduated from Forest Lakes Elementary and my step daughter is now attending the school and is doing very well. I have nothing but positive things to say about the school, staff and overall experience for myself and my children.

I am extremely unimpressed with this school my child was taught something totally inappropriate and apalling by one of the teachers and it was verified by the principle who had no idea this was being taught to our children. There was also a problem with my child complaining of a medical problem and because everything was ok at playtime, they did not notify me of the childs complaint even though it also happened several times the week before. When my child came to me and told me that they just told him to sit down, I brought it to the schools attention and the first response was to cover for employees and assistants of the school and not my childs best interest. I took my child to the doctor and found there was an medical issue that needed attention, no thanks to the school, my child was taken care of. they also lied to me about Sr. members of the schools availability. I was told a Sr member was not available to be disturbed and when I went to speak with a teacher, that Sr. member miraculously became available. I think they really need to stop covering for eachother and put these children first!!!!! I have to trust my child in their care and worry every day!
