From what we've heard, Fallbrook Street School had some major challenges, but with new administration, a new name, and an innovative approach to teaching/learning, we've been really impressed in the last year and a half since we moved here. We move often with the military and my kids have attended lots of different schools, including an international school that cost tens of thousands per year in tuition. The support from the staff, the care they offer the students, and the unique addition to the education that comes from the Covey/Lighthouse School program puts FSA at the top of our list of schools we've attended.

Fallbrook street school is awesome the only thing I would complain about is the fact that they focus more on non English specking children and assume that we speak Spanish . My child doesn't know Spanish and won't correct the teachers when they talk to him. So this needs to be addresses other the. That everyone is very friendly and helpful

OMG, that arrogant principal wants us to rate the school! It's posted on the school website to write how great this school is.....NOT!! Please stay OUT of retirement. Your services are no longer needed. L

FSS is an amazing school! The teachers are caring, compassionate, loving and fun. They care about the child's success and go above and beyond to make sure they succeed. They have a great team there, from administration to teachers, custodian, nurse and of course the students. Fallbrook street school has come along way and it only gets better.

Under principal Mr. King's guidance, Fallbrook St. Elementary School promotes a "we can do it, we're going to college" attitude. Teachers are given latitude in their approach to formulate an individualized approach for their students. FS also offers a voluntary Spanish immersion program to develop bilingual capabilities in children of all races.

FSS Scholars work hard everyday. Our school motto "I work hard. I'll never quit. I'm going to college." Cute neighborhood school where all students achieve.

At Fallbrook Street School, we work hard! We never quit! We are going to college. We are working on being good leaders and following the 7 Habits. We are showing kindness every day. Our school is a great place to be!

Fallbrook Street School works tirelessly to give hope to every child by making sure each is ready for college. Students learn Stephen Covey's Seven Habits of Highly Effective People in what they read, write, and talk about. Teachers hold high academic expectations for their students, and they really care about our kids.

Fallbrook Street School has impressed me! As a parents of two kiddos at this school, I am blown away by the level of support and communication from the school. My kids come home talking about going to college (and they are only in kinder and 2nd grade!) They are driven and focused on learning because THEY have a desire to learn..they want to go to college, their teacher speak with them daily about it. This seems to be a huge focus on the campus, they campus has college flags hanging outside each class room. My kids are not only learning traditional subjects, but also good life skills. School lunch and breakfast is an area that could be improved.

A new leaf has been turned at Fallbrook Street. WOW! I am very thankful for the administration's and teahcer's involvement. I have had opportunity to speak with the principal and vice principal about my student's progress, both conversations were outstanding! There seems to be a lot of support. My child's teacher is FANTASTIC. She has set goals for my daughter (that at first I thought were too high) but she encouraged her to reach for them...and she did! She has excelled at reading and writing since she has been enrolled at Fallbrook Street. She has also sparked a love of reading within my daughter. I read a couple negative comments from other parents on this site and I completely disagree with their opinion. I have had the exact opposite experience and the other parents I have spoken with love the school just as much as I do.

A lot has changed at Fallbrook Street School over the past two years and change can be difficult for people. I feel it's all been for the positive and there are great things going on at FSS! Academics are at the core, but the students are immersed in many other activities focused on character and leadership development (such as implementation of the 7 Habits program) and students involvement in civic and community service projects. There is a Safe School Ambassadors program and other activities to foster school safety. FSS offers GATE, multi-age classes, dual immersion classes, an art program, YMCA physical education at lunch-time, and more. Don't pass on this school just by looking at test scores. There are some amazing, dedicated, and passionate teachers and some very high functioning students at this school.

I've seen a lot of growth in the past two years at FSS. I know that this has to do with the principal, vice principal, and ALL their supportive staff. Overall this is an excellent school. I can truly say that the staff at FSS are helping our students prepare for college and this is a great thing in my book.

i agree with the negative remarks about the administration. esp the principal, he doesn't really care, extremely arrogant and phoney and tells you what he thinks you want to hear. school culture is bad. teachers stressed out by the kings demands, kids stressed out and treated like little soldiers. sure miss the old principal.

The teachers are caring, the principal is pompous and arrogant. It was a better culture when the previous principal was there.

This school has wonderful teachers who care about their students and my children have received an amazing education because of them. I have 2 children participating in the Dual Immersion Program, and by the end of Kinder, my son was able to read all of his sight words in both english and spanish! The other children in both of their classes are well behaved, and it seems that their families are very supportive of their education. The current administration could do a better job communicating with parents among other things; however, this does not affect the quality of education my children are receiving.

cant wait to hear the words, 'the king has left the building." what a hyprocrite he is. teachers are stressed out b/c he has put so many demands on them. there is a reason why he jumps around so much from school to school.

Fallbrook Street School is becoming a better school. It takes time to see results. The kids seem to be happy, they have a caring Principle Mr. King, an outstanding lead teacher Mrs. Martinez. The teachers are amazing and always seem to be willing to talk to you if you have a praise, concern, question. They have the GATE and MATH O for students who exceed in certain areas and many programs for a student who might be having a problem in an area. The staff encourages parents to come in and volunteer (Which many schools do not give parents that choice). The PTA is becoming stronger each year. I am sure each year is only going to get better.
