Messiah School educates children for lives of effective, joyful service that blesses the world & glorifies God. The academics are challenging and engaging. Art & music classes are taught by creative, enthusiastic staff. Food allergy accommodations are a priority on the school's nut-safe campus. Overall, Messiah is a great, caring community partner.

Messiah Lutheran School provides a high-level of education along with faith-based teachings in a smaller classroom environment than the public schools offer. Students routinely achieve high academic scores on standardized tests. I am pleased with the academic standards and my daughter's achievements. Teachers are caring and truly desire the best for their students. They are open to meeting with parents and addressing their concerns. We have had several discussions regarding our daughter with her teachers even outside of normally scheduled parent-teacher conferences and have been pleased with the concern and commitment of the teachers and principal for the well-being and development of our daughter. An added benefit is that Messiah provides both full-day Kindergarten and Pre-school as well as before- and after-school care to help with working parents' busy schedules, including our family's. Despite the smaller school size, there are quite a number of athletic teams, band, and other activities available to the K-8 students to help round out the students' development and character. Most of this is due to the tremendous effort on the parents to volunteer and make a difference

As a college graduate and parent of a girl and boy, it makes me feel confident to know that my children, now in 8th and 6th grade respectfully will be prepared for high school both spiritually and educationally. Messiah offers many ways for both parents and students to grow in family and faith.

I was here for nine years. Middle school was really hard. Choir made me never want to sing again. You cant expect students to only talk when they are called on for one hour. We are kids not robots that will do anything you want us to do! The teachers yelled at us a lot and it had little positive effect. Religion class was taught really well. So well that I realized it is a false religion. With research I found some of my other classmates felt the same. Memory work was actually fun to fail. The students can be really mean. I saw two outcasts get booted from a lunch table because they were to quiet. People don't work together here well. My classmates barely wanted to hug each other after graduation. If you like art or band don't come here. No ne will care about you really. Only sports make you "popular". You have to be good in sport, have great grades, a good sense of humor and mouth that never stops moving to fit in. Art was really fun though and some students did get some help if they needed it. Everything isn't terrible but it isn't great either. Your differences wont be valued here. You will be made fun of. I'm surprised I survived this school. Pretty proud of myself actually!

I am a graduate of Messiah Lutheran School. This school is great place for wealthy advanced kids. If you are anything else, don't bother. You will get bullied for being "different," and nothing will be done about it. You could tell the principal, and the worst that she will do is give the person(s) a detention. They won't learn their lesson, and it just gets worse. Now, you're a "tattletail." When it comes to schoolwork, they don't take the time to help out the less advanced kids. If you don't get it the first time, oh well. Good luck on the test. When they teach the Christian faith, they are just too confusing. I am now so far from Christianity. When it comes to principal, she doesn't care about the students. The only thing she cares about is becoming a blue ribbon school. She held back the Middle School Choir to finish everything they had planned for the day. In return, they had 5 minutes to eat instead of 40. They could have just picked up where they were the follow week, but no. "They were talking." Yes, they were. They were saying they were hungry. The parents may like the school, but they don't the half of it. You want a real review of the school? Ask the students.

Looking forward to another year of blessings at Messiah. Our children continue to grow in the Christian community. The academics are top notch and so are the supplemental programs, such as Art, sports, band and music. It's a wonderful school, with great support from the principal on down. My daughters' teachers have experience and clearly LOVE what they are doing --- and are great at it. Keep up the great work, Messiah!

My kids love this school! Solid academics and great sports for Middle School. I love the attention my kids get thanks to small class sizes. Teachers and principal are approachable and caring.

Messiah is a great school, it is a blessing to the surrounding community. The faculty and staff are energetic, professional and set high standards and expect, encourge and guide students to meeting them. Students, Parents and Faculity are a team and the environment at Messiah is warm, open and friendly. The sports program is top notch also. I f you have not visited Messiah Lutheran School you have got to come.

We are returning for another year at a fantastic school. I've met Mrs. Castleberry, the new principal, and she really has a grasp on the students, teachers, and is the perfect pick for the principal position. The teachers are amazing --- my children have benefited from the years of experience from the 2nd grade teacher and the 3rd grade teacher, and the new teachers all have energy, enthusiasm and smarts! It is a really wonderful school that incorporated Christian thinking in all aspects. The PTL has great balanced programs and every other year auctions that are really fun (last time, they raised enough for smart boards for all classrooms). The new anti-bullying program and policy are strong, and the leadership recognizes the value of supporting the bullied, and helping the bully per the Golden Rule. Academics are top notch, there are challenging academic programs; it's a great place for children to grow and thrive.

Messiah has been such a blessing to us. As we finish our time at Messiah we truly realize how ready our children are for highschool. The academic program is wonderful and meets the needs of many students. More importantly, the caring, christian education has given our children the foundation they need as they move on from Messiah. Thank You seems too little to say for what we have received.

We are so thankful to have found this school. The curriculum is challenging, the teachers are focused on the success and the joy the kids get from learning. They really help them to succeed. The morals and the good christian attitude they instill is really helping them for the challenges they will face in life. Our children look forward to every day they spend at school, they just can't wait to see what the next day will bring. It's good to know that the values we teach at home are being reinforced. We have found the staff as well as the principal to be easy to work with and very willing to answer any question or concerns that we as parents may have. We highly recommend the school to anyone looking for an outstanding education

My children have attended Messiah Lutheran for four years. The school has strong academics - and just as importantly - Messiah offers a Christian education. The quality of the education, the focus on Christian values, and lots of opportunities for extra-curricular activities all make Messiah a great choice!

we have been at messiah for 6 years and this is our last year. they just DO NOT LISTEN to any concerns you have. no matter what you bring up they just nod their heads and do nothing about it. how much they care depends entirely on who you are... they are so busy making your child memorize bible verses that have no meaning that they forget what the verses mean..

Yes, Messiah has a great sports program and helps gifted children, but they do not want to acknowledge any failure. When my daughter was being bullied day after day by the another student from one of the "prominent" church families there, the teacher said my daughter was lying and would not accept it as truth (gee, my child was being choked in the bathroom!). When her grades were slipping, that same 6th grade teacher told me "I think I know your daughter better than you do, after all I spend all day with her." I was outraged. That teacher absolutely REFUSED to get me the paperwork needed to have my daughter tested for dyslexia too. However, once I moved her to a public system, she DID get the help she needed there...for so much less $ and headache. We wasted 2 years trying to fit in there. Messiah is all about being in "the right group" and if you are not, you will hate the experience, at your child's expense. There are a couple people who truly mean well, but I found it to be about being prideful, more than anything. Been there, done that. Gone.
