I attended Evansville elementary from 4th-6th grade. I lived in the Brandon district but after starting school in Brandon briefly quickly switched to Evansville, a superior school in terms of teachers, staff, students, and quality education as clearly shown by the much higher result on Great Schools. At Brandon Elementary the students, teachers and staff were very clique and not at all welcoming when I moved into their district. Evansville students, teachers, and principal radiated positive energy and friendliness to new students. Superb education, excellent gifted-and-talented program and strong foundational math skills were the building blocks for my future education and I recently received a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of California. Thanks for the great solid beginnings, Evansville. I attended before Evansville Elementary before Evansville merged with Brandon for middle and high school. It's unfortunate that their middle and high schools have lower educational ratings due to the merge.
