Moved into the Brandon school district when I was in 1st grade immediately realized how cliquey the students, teachers and staff were to outsiders. Teachers ignored my questions and directly placed me in special education. I quickly open enrolled to Evansville Elementary, where the students, teachers, principal and staff radiated positive energy and welcomed new students. Instead of being in special education in Brandon, I participated in Evansville's excellent gifted-and-talented program and developed very strong foundational math skills. I just completed my PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of California. Please open enroll your students to Evansville for elementary if you unfortunately live in the Brandon school district. As the Great School ratings clearly show, you will get a much stronger education. If you care only about being good at athletics, go to Brandon. The one positive thing I can say about Brandon is that most of the best athletes were from there.

The Brandon Elementary and High School public school system is a top notch pick. Brandon Elementary was recently given a Blue Ribbon award from the Governor of Minnesota. The teachers are very one to one with students. I am very impressed. Some of the words my young child learns to spell amaze me. A good education equals a child who can excel in life.
