The new principal, Megan Loh, is wonderful. She is on top of things and communicates effectively with families and staff. She’s a great fit for the Reidy Creek community.

My kids have attended this school for the last two school years. I have found that this school's staff, PTA, and the school community have been very supportive of my kids, academically and socially. The teachers my kids have had went above and beyond to promote my kids' well-being and academic success. I highly recommended this school

This school knows why I’m giving them a very very low review. They allowed bullying to continuously go on for over a year by 2 students. Instead of kicking out the student who’s bullying everyone, they kept both around and let others suffer around them. I would never recommend this school to anyone. My child has been affected by the bullying and this school just never cared. Communication between staff, students, and parents isn’t great at all. They also seemed to be okay that kids are about 1-2 grades behind. They don’t offer tutoring either. The solution to catching kids up for the pandemic was stated as, “they will catch up eventually by 5th grade”. That’s just absolutely appalling to me.

I have had two children attend Reidy Creek and both had great experiences.

My children have been at this school for three years and we love all of the teachers. We transferred from another Escondido school, and Reidy Creek is a much better fit for our family. Every teacher we have had at Reidy Creek: Cordova, Morry, C. Murphy, Schoon, Stewart, and Threatt have been amazing, even during the crazy covid times. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.

Over the past two year the support that I my child with disabilities has received has downgraded. Previous support was much better.

2019 is my kids 3rd year at Reidy Creek. Most of the teachers have been there for years but they are all relatively young and energetic. I think last year all the first-grade teachers got their Master's Degree, so they are big on continuing education and not getting complacent. They REALLY care about the kids, they are communicative with parents through the remind app, and they give a reasonable amount of homework. The principal sends messages via phone at least weekly to keep the parents up to date as much as possible. When my daughter got hurt on the first day of kindergarten the principal personally called me to let me know she was okay (she didn't even come home with a scratch, she was fine). Parents can be as involved as they want, the teachers seem to take it upon themselves and not force parents to do a lot of extra work. There are plenty of events and activities for the parents/kids to participate in throughout the year. Although the parking lot is somewhat small, the teachers bring the kids to the car for you at the end of the day. Huge bonus. The campus is set up nicely and always immaculate. We have been very lucky to meet so many nice kids and their families!

Such a great school with hard working and dedicated teachers. Whenever I had a concern I received a prompt response with a solution that worked. We moved 11/2015 and we miss it so much. My daughter goes to higher rated school now, yet if you ask my daughter or myself Reidy Creek is so much better. Mrs. Cavanaugh and Mrs. Cordova are excellent teachers

It seems like all of the good reviews of Reidy Creek are 2-3 years ago. Something must have changed in the past few years, but this school should not be rated a 7. The principal is unresponsive and the student to teacher ratio is unheard of. My child was stuck in a Kindergarten class with 25 other students and one teacher. There were not any Teacher's aids other than parent help. My son was ignored for an entire year. I attempted to reach out to the principal multiple times with absolutely no resolution. I have three children who will all be of school age in 2017 and I am praying that something changes for the better soon.

My child attended Reidy Creek Elementary for 1 year. After moving to a new school my opinion about this school has changed even more. This school did not have very active PTA participation (not from lack of trying from the committee and head of-just lack of parents which is very disappointing) When Special needs were a concern and poor school behavior needed addressing it was brushed under the rug so to speak. Poor Positive reinforcement structure as a whole (we were there from 2013-2014 school year. Like I said, it was my first experience at a school. My children are a different public school and it has given me better perspective from our first experience. The school is not a slum but it is not 7-10 rating either. I would rate it a 6. It was the best public school in escondido when we first bought our home but the rating-I have noticed-has gone down since we bought our home in 2010

I am going to give you an honest review of the school. This school is only 2/5. The reasons are as follows: Some of the teachers are unresponsive to parent inquiries, the principal is selective with what issues she wants to address and when (if at all), the traffic is terrible, parents wait an hour in their cars so they can pick up their kids, there is NO shade in the play areas, in my experience they have poor policies or not at all, my rating of 2/5 rather than 1/5 is because there is high parent involvement. School needs fair and equal policies to all. Teachers and principal need to communicate... not selectively either.

Wonderful, dedicated teachers and staff make this school amazing. My son had a very hard time adjusting to kindergarten and Mr Tillyer helped him greatly by being patient and wanting my son to succeed. Now in first grade, his teacher is beyond wonderful. He loves being an RC coyote and partaking in the many wholesome activities put on by the school and PTA. This school gets an A+++

We are new to the area and we found Reidy Creek Elementary school to be an excellent school. Mr. Brame is a wonderful 5th grade teacher, the staff are very friendly. The school is in a beautiful area and is well maintained.
