We have moved to several states and enrolled our son in public and private schools. This is the best experience he has ever had. The teachers are wonderful here. He actually brought his ACT scores up once he attended Elkins. The counselor, the principal and all the staff are great. It is a warm and friendly school.

I would give this school 0 stars I went to 5 schools and was an elkins student for about 5 years, and elkins made every other school look incredible, at elkins students are picked not taught, if they dont pick you you might as well put your head down in every class because they will fail you any way they can think of even if its not school related, very much bigotry and racism toward individuals at this school.

I am an Elkins High School Alumni and after reading a few of the above comments I just wanted to add that I, as a student, recieved an excellent education from Elkins. Teachers were always willing to spend extra time and effort to help thier students succeed as students as well as people. I was very prepared for college when I graduated Elkins High School and have graduated the U of A with special thanks to EHS teachers who pushed me to be the best I could be. If you are concerned about your child or yourself getting the education you need from Elkins to succeed in college try taking thier AP curriculum courses I found these especially challenging and worthwhile. GO ELKS!!

i think that the elkins school system as a whole is very positive and shound. I dont however think the high school math department is..This is the weakest link! I feel that the high school math teachers do not give their all to make sure these kids understand and prepare them for college. I do think that the atmoshpere of the school and the bond with the kids is very strong.

i am a former student of elkins high school. And some of the teachers are great but overall i hated it. If i didnt understand something they didnt even try to work with me. The best teachers they have are miss.smith, miss.hutchins, mr.hess and thats it.
