    As a student that used to go here that can now stand up for myself I want to speak out about the extreme bullying by students and teachers/staff, I got bullied to the point of severe depression I would tell the principal and I’d end up in trouble because the bullies were sadly prominent rich families in elkin and the teachers would berate me every chance they got. The teachers were almost worse than the bullies, a child looks up to a adult for protection and I sadly never got that. The bullying got so bad I started missing half of the school year,no child should have to stay out of school to feel safe.I would kick,cry, scream in the school drop off lane just so I wouldn’t have to go. Everytime a parent tells me they are sending their child to elkin middle or elementary I immediately cringe.
