One of the few smaller rural schools that remain in the Elk Grove area! The school is a treasure. The principal, teachers and staff are professional and passionate about academics and students' overall growth and development. My children have thrived at this school and enjoy attending even when facing adverse social situations that can occur with socializing. Something to be noted & cherished * when dealing with the complexities of a variety of personalities and situations, the principal, teachers and staff remain calm, objective, and pragmatic. PGE is a wonderful school community for children during their early childhood years.!

Best school for kids with special needs and for any child. The admin, teachers and office staff make working through problems simple and effective. Such a kind and loving school. Feel so grateful to be here!

Mr. Donovan, the Principal, is the best! Love the Teachers, love this school. Mrs. Jones (Kindergarten) is Amazing, as are all the other teachers. My child has some special needs in reading, and I've always felt listened to. I give Pleasant Grove Elementary an A+

Great teachers, many parents are involved, PTA is very active and supportive. Average years teaching is around 14 years. Small and old in a country setting makes for a wonderful atmosphere for the kids. PTA is at every event recruiting parents to join and or get involved. Improvements that are needed: Teacher particitation at events, update teacher/parent communication with use of web site access, basic infrastructure repair ie. courtyard resurfacing, track repair, painting and lighting. I highly recommend this school to parents of elementary age children!

A good school with an excellent principal. Unfortunately, it is definitely a school that has many groupies. Parent involvement would be great if the welcome committee was there. It is sad because there are parents that want to help, but only a few control. Good teachers.
