Principal sits in his office and does not help when needed. I have observed that Mr. Corcoran has his favorites in staff and students, it definitely shows. My child was getting bullied at Harriet Gifford and Mr. Corcoran would just sit in his office and do nothing. Comment he said about one of the staff who would call for help was we didn't hire this teacher to use all of our additional staff.

This school has a bilingual curriculum and I prefer to have my kids in this program, especially because we are white and my kids are learning Spanish everyday. In today's world, why wouldn't you want your kids learning multiple languages and having great, caring teachers.

My son didn't get anything he needed from Harriet Gifford as a first grader. The teachers are suppose to go through five books a year to be able for kids to succeed in second grade and they never give homework to first graders smh. With this being said I transferred my son to a new school and he was clueless to what was going on in second grade. I had to put him back into first grade. Now he is very successful and happy about coming home to do homework. My son new school called and asked Harriet Gifford why wasn't he prepared for second like he should have been. They told them they only go through one book a year smh. My child life was also put in danger at Harriet Gifford.
