Attending Sherwood was a great opportunity to know what we’re looking for and not looking for in a school. Many challenges were swept under the rug or mishandled and I slowly watched my child loose their confidence, love of learning and school. We found the staff and leadership challenging to communicate with because they weren’t all on the same page with the same information/policies and not very versed in diversity of race, religion, disability or equity.

Sherwood is a school that cares and has a central focus on all students, inclusiveness and educating the “whole” child. They are compassionate and excellent at what they do. The Principal is amazing.

My daughter has been at this school since 1st grade. We feel so blessed to have been a part of this community. The teachers, staff and families have been amazing. The school size is perfect, allowing for choices in friends, but also providing a smaller community that cares about each child. I would HIGHLY recommend this school.

My daughter transferred to Sherwood after a year+ at Seaview Elementary. Her experience at Seaview was OK but we were thrilled with Sherwood from day 1. Her transition took place on late October and when we picked her up after her first day she was already happily settled in. Her Teacher Mrs. Rempel was wonderful and the kids welcomed her like an old friend. The atmosphere at Sherwood is warm and nurturing. We love Sherwood and I don't see how you could do better for your child.

I have a second grader and kindergartner at Sherwood. Both my wife and I have been thrilled with our experience there so far. The teachers have all been incredibly talented and knowledgeable. From academic instruction to social development, we have been very impressed. Even the front office staff is great.

Teachers are caring, school is welcoming and my learning is top-notch! They also provide many after school activities for all interests.
