We were disappointed with the preschool program. The preschool teacher is condescending to parents and impatient with the children. The aides were nice and tried to compensate for the preschool teacher's rude behavior but the aides seemed scared to speak up because the preschool teacher is the owner/director's daughter.

My son has been attending Plaza since 2017. He loves his teachers and has learned so much since being there. As my son prepares for kindergarten in another year, Plaza has by far an advanced circculum and the teachers are very compassionate. As a parent, knowing that your child is progressing at school makes you feel you made the right choice. Plaza is amazing!

EXCELLENT. We have recommended Plaza to several friends. I am a pediatrician and I recommend it to my patients, too! Both of my kids have been at Plaza since 3.5months old. They are now 17months and almost 3yo. I would never want to take them anywhere else. Plaza is a loving, caring, fun place. I feel so fortunate to have found Plaza!

Plaza has provided a wonderful home away from home for my kids. My daughter has attended since she was 12 weeks old and will be graduating from their pre-school program in a few months (we still intend to send her in the summers until she ages out.) My son has been there from 16 weeks and is still in the infant room.I feel that the teachers are smart, warm, and truly care about my children. It is more than a job to them; you can see that their work is a labor of love and they go to great lengths to provide a supportive, enriching, and caring environment. The activities are varied and age-appropriate. My daughter is constantly bringing home class projects that cover a variety of topics and concepts and are mindful of being inclusive. She also loves the various non classwork activities like yoga, Imagine That (a STEAM program where they have learned about crystals, magnets, volcanos, made their own crayons and sand art and practiced painting like Michelangelo, upside down), the Young Rembrandts program (an art program), and, of course, the occasional pajama party (kids get to jump around a bouncy castle and play, parents get a child-free evening out, win-win). The school parties for Halloween etc are also fun and very much appreciated extras that the school puts on (the last one had a great dino show, trunk or treat, train ride, and pumpkin patch).The facility is also beautiful. It was always in great shape, but due to a flood from the upstairs medical offices a few years ago, everything was replaced and is brand new. They also replaced the playground last year.Thank you Plaza for taking care of my munchkins so well!

Very poor. We were lucky that we got out in time for our child to try and catch up academically to first grade standards. There was no focus on STEM. Furthermore, the social development was mediocre at best and the activities are antiquated. In a school that is over 50% Asian-Indian and in Edison, there was no celebration of Diwali.

We would never choose Plaza again. Yes, the fees are reasonable- but when my daughter was dismissed, I realized the education was very sub par. She was way behind other kindergarten peers. I am certain Plaza will respond to this by blaming us- But I have to advocate for my child, who has special needs, and no attempts to bully or silence us will keep me quiet. There are some good people who work there, but unfortunately the new staff, especially the daughter of the director, is completely lacking in basic compassion and understanding. She has no ability to listen or talk to parents in a reasonable way.It brought tears to my eyes when I told my daughter she would no longer be coming back, and she said “Thank you mommy for not making me go back- they are so mean there.”There is also a strange formaldehyde smell that stayed on my daughter’s hair and her backpack until she took a bath.And as far as academics- very behind. A lot of screen time.I know 4-6 yo’s cant always be trusted verbatim, but my daughter was told she had lice (when she didn’t) and that “people from India” get lice more often...which is completely untrue.Being a parent is tough enough- you don’t want to have your child in a place that makes it tougher, with a bullying staff that is petty, argumentative and completely inflexible. STEM is completely lacking here- I paid for a science class where they made “slime” most weeks...With the competitive curriculum the way it is, Plaza needs to get in touch with current standards for science and math.

My child has attended for the past three years and loves going every single day. He has established many good friendships. The staff is very kind and they go the extra mile to be as accommodating as possible. The school has just been totally remodeled and it looks absolutely beautiful! My child is looking forward to attending Kindergarten at Plaza in September. I highly recommend this school.

The women who work there love the kids, and you can feel that from the moment you walk through the doors. Many have been there for many many years. Plaza quickly became a second family, and all the teachers knew my daughter and I soon knew most of the teachers (many who were not even hers). This is a highly structured program with a predictable routine, a solid curriculum of academics while fostering social/emotional needs. They are attentive to student strengths and weaknesses and have developed programs that challenge students and treat each student individually. There is discipline, follow through, and communication between teachers and parents. The director is very present in the classrooms and knows each student's strengths and weaknesses. She has an open line of communication with parents and honestly expresses her concerns when they arise. At 3 she knows her colors, shapes, letters, numbers, some letter sounds, she socializes appropriately with her peers, and loves to interact with adults. This facility is also CLEAN, SAFE, and ALLERGY friendly.

My family has been going to Plaza Childcare since 2011 when my first son was 3 month and I had to return to work. Out of all the local daycares in the area, i found this one to be the best. The facility is clean, I love the windows in the classrooms (you'd be surprised to see that some daycares have little windows!), the staff is very friendly, and they do lots of activities during and after school hours. My son is now in their 3 year old program and I have a daughter and son in their baby room. They have been very accommodating to my family. I feel that they are part of my family because they've helped nurture my children! Educationally, my son has known all his letters and numbers up to 20 since he was 2. He began writing his name just as he turned 3. He's become very well rounded.

I am very surprised at the way they handled my almost 2 year old daughter , who was a first timer to school. With almost 20 years of being open, I could hardly believe they could not distract her when she missed her mom for almost 4 weeks, instead just kept calling me (mom) to come and pick her up cos she started crying for me. They did this for about 4 weeks after which I pulled her out cos "she was not ready for school" and "attached to mom". Very disheartening experience.....

I had both my son and daughter attend Plaza Child Care from 2009 to 2012. Both my children were very happy there and so was I. The staff was always friendly and very caring. My children always came home talking about their day ! Mrs. Lori and Staff are the best around ! I would recommended this school or any of their other two preschools !!!!

Based on all five stars reviews I enrolled my daughter here. So far things like up the phone, cleanliness, playground, affordable fees are all good. She will start next month and I will give another ratings in about 3 months.

Olaza Child Care is a great school! The staff and directors are warm and caring individuals. They aim to please and make your child's first school experience as positive as possible. I visited several schools before choosing Plaza and am glad that I did. Nothing compared to the facility, director who gave me the tour or the staff. The facility is clean and the equipment state of the art. I have been there with two children for four years and my friends cannot believe the things that my children have been doing in school. THEY WISH THEY LIVED CLOSER SO THAT THEIR KIDS COULD ATTEND PLAZA! LOVE THE PLACE AND YOU WILL TOO !

Enrolled my baby and 3yr old in september and i have been nothing but happy! The school is always clean and the staff is very good to us. My 3 yr old loves going and i am happy with the progress he is making and love to see all the crafts and work he brings home. My baby is very well taken care of and i am happy to see her adapting so well. The ladies make sure to keep me informed of her day to day activities and any concerns. Its nice to go back to work knowing my kids are in the best hands they could be!!!! Thank You Mrs. Lori and Staff for making this transition an easy one. we consider you our second home and family

We had our daughter in Plaza for over 5 years (including Kindergarten) and we ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!! This past year she went to first grade and we were heartbroken that we had to leave! The staff is EXCELLENT and the facility is CLEAN, CLEAN CLEAN!!! The staff, including the director take the well being and education of your child to heart. You can tell when you step foot in the front door that it is a warm and friendly place. I would HIGHLY recommend Plaza to everyone. You will not be disappointed!

Very good and affordable day care and summer camp program. One of the best in Edison. Facilities and equipment are very well maintained and the whole center is very clean.
