To give Cottle a 5/10, Greatschools.org is clearly controlled by folks who cater to special interests and have never been near the place. The site should no longer have credibility.I couldn't be happier with the education my children have received or the environment provided by the staff.

I have had a great experience with the Tuckahoe district. My son is thriving academically and receives a lot of guidance and encouragement from his teachers. The small class sizes are great.

The Tuckahoe schools are amazing, don't be fooled by the ratings. The teachers and staff are amazing and really care. Cottle especially is such a wonderful school with an incredible nurturing environment. They also have an amazing PTA that brings so many great programs to the school.

The teachers and staff are fantastic but an over-emphasis is placed on test prep. Students take weekly multiple choice tests beginning in first grade, snack time is also "work time" and recess is twenty minutes (if that) because administration wants as much "instructional time" as possible. This year due to increased enrollment, art is on a cart. Overall, the small school community is wonderful, but the school itself is highly over-rated.

The school is nice and has an awesome PTA program. Parents are well informed of their child's progress. The kindergarten class was a bit big (25 kids with 1 teacher and 1 aid). They solved that problem by getting another aid to assist. There is a good after school program as well. The school is very nice for small public school.

My daughter goes to Cottle School and she loves it! The school provides a safe and nurturing environment for the kids to learn and grow in many fun ways. The teachers are nice and experienced, and the curriculum is rich and lively. We are very happy about the school.

I love this school and so does my child! It is a great school for all children, iincluding special needs students. It is a small school where all of the administration and staff focus on making everyone feel a part of this community. There is lots done to prevent bullying such as workshops and programs for all students to learn about bullying prevention. Any issues are handled promptly. They focus on academics but also educating the whole child. Lots of special programs throughout the year for all students and plenty of ways for parents to get involved. Its a great school and a wonderful, diverse community.
