Terrible. I have since pulled my child out of school and have enrolled in another. I sincerely believe this school is only out to better their test scores for government funding and care little for the children themselves. The upper administration could careless for the children under them, they treat them like annoying pests and do not believe children when they come to them with complaints about staff. I personally have been talked down to, and treated like I didn’t matter and I am an adult. Imagine how your child would be treated. My problem was swept under the rug. If you have a complaint at this school or any other tell them you want to file a formal complaint or nothing will be done about it, and they have to tell you what happens with a formal complaint. Not so so with a verbal complaint. Your children are important, their voices matter and so do yours. Do not let people in a public service offfice treat you like it’s your privilege to be there. It is your right and they are there to serve you and your children. Remember PUBLIC SCHOOL, it is your right to be concerned at all times of what, where, who, and when if it involves your child.

This school started out about the students many years ago. Now they are just numbers and dollar signs for the school district. If they act like children they are punished. Students that take to long using the bathroom are forced to use the office bathroom at Radley Elementary. If they need to use the bathroom durning class time they get docked a check mark/bean if they loose all of their beans or marks in a week they get a write up, if they get 3 write ups they get detention. Some classes are now giving detentions instead of write ups. They get detention in for losing all their marks, which are only 4 because students were not bringing back signed write ups. They get docked if they talk, wiggle to much in seats, lean on other children's desks, get bored, look like they are not paying attention, all in all for being 7-11 year old children. Kids are being forced to stay outside in the cold because they forget their coats inside, and are being told it's for their own good and they are being prepared for the "real world". Do not try to stand up for your child and be their advocate. They will retaliate and not only make your life awful but your child's life as well. I have heard many terrible stories of bullying not only by other children but the staff as well including the administrator to the point children are transferring their students.

The teachers are caring, the principal is approachable, caring, and friendly. The superintendent of the entire East Helena school district is at every event they have. Top to bottom, the entire East Helena School district is great. Now I just wish East Helena could get a high school.

Radley has been such a blessing for us. My son had a very hard time at his old school and when we bought a house in East Helena I was considering homeschooling because I felt that public school just was not working. Radley and Eastgate have been so amazing and my kids actually enjoy school. I'm so thankful that we found Eastgate and Radley schools!

Average school, some teachers are more experienced than others, but all we've met seem enthusiastic and genuinely caring about the kids. They seem to stick very closely to the curriculum and have difficulty with exceptional and special needs students. Grades 1-2, very little homework is sent home and its requires proactive parents to establish good communication, but they are willing to work with you. Support staff is great, from the paraprofessionals to the office workers to the lunch staff, the kids seem to love the vibe in this school.
