Really grateful we were able to get into this school, and definitely have found it worth the wait! The teachers and staff are amazing and the office administration is exceptional. We have had zero issues with bullying and love how involved each parent/guardian is expected to be. If you have the opportunity to attend this school, I highly recommend you jump on it! We have been very impressed!

I am so grateful that we could get our daughter in here. Things were so bad with the local public school and my daughter's sixth grade teacher that when we had the chance to jump over to Ranches at the end of January, we all agreed it was for the best. My daughter now feels safe and appreciated. When there is bullying, the teacher sees it and instructs the children that treating one another that way is inappropriate. In her public school, bullying was ignored even though it was causing so many issues with my daughter's learning. My daughter is now grasping math better and she feels safer and appreciated. I am so glad that we got her switched to Ranches when we could. Also, the principal is very kind and listened to our concerns and made sure that my daughter was put in the best class possible. The public school did the exact opposite.

My kids have attended this school for the last 6 years. We have had nothing but the best experience here. No school or teacher is perfect, but overall I have seen nothing done that doesn't have the overall interest of the kids at heart. My kids have thrived. The ones that have moved onto middle school have done well thanks to the good foundation they received in their elementary years at this school.

Totalitarian practices by director who has no oversight because she has infiltrated the board with deceitful tactics.Only redeeming factor are teachers that care enough to stay and deal with her in order to give a quality education to the children.

The director seems to not care about anything that the students care about and attempts by the students to make changes are vastly ignored. Comments from parents seem to go unnoticed. Teachers are great with the students, but you get the feeling that they are dissatisfied with their job. There are cliques within the school and comments that the director does not value their the teachers run rampant. The Board should be held responsible for figuring out why families leave and for holding the Director responsible for any issues that arise instead, you see a director that seems to run everything with no accountability in place. It seems like test scores are the most important task as of late. It is also odd that they spent money to expand the school but the space is not accommodating of functions and the cafeteria doesn't even offer healthy, balanced meals. They seem to cater to a higher socio-economic population.

Most of the teachers are fine. There's a vibe if insincerity from administration. My son seems to enjoy the other students.

My kids started in this school recently, and I am really happy with what I have seen. Last year one of my kids was struggling with math, and spelling. I felt like every time my kid would come home, I would have to reteach everything my kid was supposed to learn at school. We are in the middle of the school year now in Ranches Academy, and my kid's progress has been considerable. I love the after school clubs they have going on at the moment such as choir, chess, basketball, musical instruments (strings), and running. I wish I would have known about the school years ago.

I moved my kids from a local public school to this school in hopes that there reading and math skill would improve. Both my kids are behind at this school, but the issue has been addressed and they are both making great progress!! I like how the class sizes are smaller at this school. I only wish they could get a school lunch program. I don't always have the time to make lunches, or if lunches are forgotten I can't always get it to them as I am in school myself.

This school has changed. We were in that school for many years and are now completely dissatisfied with this school. The school has become militant with a myriad of controlling rules (from the way they walk in the hall to how many paper towels they can use). They make odd, questionable financial decisions, such as expanding the school when many of their teachers are very underpaid (resulting in many of their best teachers leaving). I don't trust the school's test scores. I've seen too much turnover and too many of the best teachers leave. Something is not quite right with the test scores and not quite right with the way the school is administered.

Problems at this school outweigh the benefits. High test scores, but low teacher retention. 5 teachers (out of 13) left in one year. No system of checks and balances. School Board supports the director, but does not represent the teachers or families if they have differing opinions. If you have a concern, there is no one over the director to go to. Has implemented a strict code of conduct used for military and reform schools, even though students were already well behaved. Director more focused on rules and procedures than children. Felt great here until I had a concern, I didn't even care as much about the outcome as I was disappointed about the process - the dialogue was squelched before it even started..

Coming from a private school to this charter school has been a rewarding experience. My children are making greater strides here than at their previous school. It is exciting to see them loving school again, exceeding their goals and meeting great friends, teachers and administration. The school focuses on the critical aspects of a child's education and does it well; the test results speak for themselves. These results happen in part from an administration that has the best interest of the students, teachers and families in mind. The teachers care about and are devoted to their students. I am impressed with their caliber and talents. Everyone at the school is professional, thoughtful, warm and friendly. I feel blessed to be associated with this school and feel that my children will receive a great education. The uniforms are varied, inexpensive, comfortable and work. The director, school board, teachers and staff work very hard to ensure the school sets meaningful goals and then meets or exceeds them. My children feel safe and have attributed that to the values promoted and expected in the hallways and classrooms. If you have the opportunity to come here I highly recommend it.

Our entire family loves this school! One of our children went from mediocre grades and great anxiety at a previous school to straight A's and absolute joy in attending school under the great care of his teacher. It is obvious that the administration and teachers care a great deal for this school as well as for each individual child, helping them to reach their greatest potential. As parents, we feel we have been well informed and involved with things going on at Ranches Academy. We appreciate all the hard work that administration and teachers put in to this remarkable school! We only wish there were a Ranches Academy Jr. High and High school.

Fantastic school. The test scores are through the roof. They are very careful to let the excelled students reach their potential. At the same time, they spend A LOT of time, money, and resources on the students who are behind to give them the best chances possible. My only disdain is for the uniforms -- don't get me wrong: I understand how they function, and I don't totally disagree. But I think this one is a little overkill, OPPRESSIVE and Marxist. Lots of schools have dress codes.... maybe we could lighten up a little like they have? Please? WHY DO YOU HAVE TO DRESS LIKE A *BOY* IN ORDER TO GET AN EDUCATION?????? seems like we should be past that in american society by now.... i'm just saying....
