All 3 of my children have attended Brush Creek Elementary. It is a highly effective and very warm place for elementary children. Headed by an outstanding, innovative principal, the school was one of the first in the county to have a "no daily homework" policy, focusing on science lead understanding that daily homework for young children is ineffective. The teachers are passionate about the success of each child, creating differentiated learning plans for students with unique needs, not just because they have a learning plan in place. Classroom sizes are modest, and in school specials are varied and impressive: art, music, technology, PE, STEAM (just to name a few). STEAM combines innovation to problem solving, and students are offered "tinker stations" for exploring new ideas and thinking about how to solve given problems.Above all, the character of this school shines through. Bobacat characteristics are celebrated in every way, with positive reinforcement of public announcements when students display these characteristics. There is a nice balance of common sense discipline when things go array (as children always do at some point, even the best of them).During COVID, we were so impressed with how the teachers handled the new world, and the return to school process was impressive. Further proof that with great leadership and committed, passionate teachers, any learning challenges can be overcome. We simply cannot say enough great things about the 6 years we've spent in this school. With only one more year remaining in our family, we'll be sad to say goodbye.

We love Brush Creek Elementary School! They have wonderful leadership, amazing teachers and enthusiastic spirit which shows in the joy in the children. The staff behind the scenes does a fantastic job of keeping the parents and students informed and organized. There is also a great parent community with lots of support for the school. The school has great resources and it shows in the test schools - we are always of the top rated schools in Eagle County. I couldn't imagine a better place for my sons to start their learning paths!! Can't say enough great things about BCES!

The environment is positive, the teachers are experienced and very kind, theres a great parent community, an abundance of school spirit, outstanding leadership, plenty of school resources, great academics. Out of all ECS, BCES rates #2 according to testing scores. Impressed with leadership and genuine teachers and committed parents.

Thus far I have found support staff to be helpful, friendly and organized. The teachers are team oriented, supportive, enthusiastic and passionate about their school. The principal is new, but comes with experience and seems ready to join and guide the already dynamic team. This school seems to hold its own with a good reputation and attracts super dedicated teachers. Any issues as far as offering more specials such as, art, music, PE, and any other extra curricular activities unfortunately falls on the district and State.

My son is going into 5th grade next year and has been here since K. This is an awesome school! I believe he would never be where he is now in any other school.
