I wish this school went up to 12th grade. We love it that much. We've been a part of this school for 5 years with multiple children.

The staff is very caring and determined to help students succeed. My son began Kindergarten last year with behavioral issues. His teacher, the counselor, his speech teacher, and the principal worked tirelessly with us to help him find his way. It took us half the school year but he is now on track and doing awesome! He knows he has a strong support team at school and is so excited to start the new school year! And, as a parent, I am elated to see him thrive!!

Ridge Elementary is a wonderful school with administrators who care not only about the teachers and staff but take a sincere and personal interest in their students, parents and surrounding community. I am very happy to have my daughter enrolled at Ridge Elementary because I know she is receiving the best education and care any parent could possibly ask for.

After 4 years at this school I am looking to buy a house OUT of this school zone. There are good teachers here but some really terrible ones. I feel sorry for the good teachers that are stuck teaching here. One teacher told me she wanted to leave because the moral here among teachers were so bad (probably because of the admin. This is run more like a military school. This school seriously lacks kindness to the students. If you have a good teacher great but if not your child's needs will not be met emotionally or academically. Teachers should not be allowed to scream at children...ever. One second grade teacher (blond hair)screamed so loud last year that other teachers actually looked out in the hallway. One third grade teacher screams at her students every single year .. yet she is still teaching. Teachers need to look at the child, smile, greet them like you like your job. Show kindess, encourage them. You will get far better results showing kindness then screaming at them all the time! We will not be at this school next year.

I LOVE Ridge. My child has had been at Ridge for the last two years and we have had a wonderful experience at this school. Teachers are very dedicated to their students and Administration is always very helpful with needs and concerns. I have never had a problem with the office staff. We are looking for a new home and only shopping in Ridge's school zone!

My child's teacher not only teaches but really cares about her students. My child could not go to another school and have better teachers than she has had at Ridge. Office staff - They are not overly friendly but then I am sure they are busy taking care of teachers, parents and students while at the same time completeing their work for the day. PTC - All of the members I have encountered (at meetings) have been friendly. There have not been an abundant amount of meetings but that could be because of the holidays or maybe notices were not given out, etc. I did overhear, at the first meeting, the remark from someone they already knew who would be elected and in what position. I want to be more involved as well. I signed up to help and no one has ever called me,maybe they have volunteers already. The PTC should delegate so they are not stuck at school. Quote: "They work long hours day and night to pull things together with little or no help from parents." First rule of leading a group to success is to delegate. It involves everyone and gives them a sense of involvement. Ridge is a good school. Teachers and staff are nice. PTC is doing an ok job too. Now bring on summer!

The teachers my child has had thus far are very good. The principal is good. My child has done very well in their studies. The PTA needs improvement. They are extremely cliquish. The person who is the president is very nice but the rest act like they own the school. It is frustrating for a parent who wants to be involved in their child's school. The PTA is just now getting started at this school but I believe they have the wrong idea what a PTA really is. This school does not have an "open door" policy that allows parents to be active in their child's education. If you are used to a school that has a great PTA or the school involves parents. This one is not it.

I am disappointed that the school does not have any extracurricular activities. They do not even have a gym or art class. The teachers show concern and are doing the best with what they have to work with. Some classrooms are in trailors outside and are cramped. This school needs a makeover
