Bullring is said not to be tolerated but in middle school I was bullied non-stop and not a thing was done about it. Durand doesn't have a good support system. They also don't even have a school nurse! They also tend to punish the entire student body for the misbehavior or a handful of students, which is very unexceptable. They run out of lunches during lunch, along with lack of vegetarian options. 500 students in a small lunch room is not enough and 15 minutes a lunch period is not enough time. This school is pretty small so the lunch situation is horrible. The lack of self control the staff has when it comes to punishing a few students (instead of the entire student body) shows lack of understanding and discipline. They really take the easy way out on everything. Also the dress code is very discriminatory twords women and girls. 0/10 don't recommend.

Not many reviews for this school. I'm here trying to see new reviews for Durand High as we need to make a decision between Durand or Swartz Creek for our child and there's not a lot of info that is new. Someone please tell us something!

I posted in February after transferring my kids from a local school district to the Durand schools, needless to say I am sending my kids back to their original school. Durand is really good in appearances, but after my kids flunked out of EVERY CLASS they had after passing te same classes in thier other district I am DONE with DURAND!
