From my experience there are a couple of teachers who like to bully kids. Those teachers did not care about partnering with parents and their children's learning. When I had addressed the problem with the school principal she found it amusing in regard to my concerns about my son being bullied by a teacher. A note was sent from my son's counselor for the trauma he received from a teacher at the school and they would not return my phone calls.

My child went to school here. He was bullied by two teachers in the school. He was given silent lunch because he failed a practice SOL and accused of trying to contact me so I could come for lunch so he could get out of the discipline he was given for failing the practice test which was completely untrue. They knew that I frequently visited my child for lunch . My son is special needs and he was yelled at chronically for simple little things like dropping a water bottle by accident on the floor . My son came home in tears and was once a child who loved school but became a kid who didn't want to go to school when he was in these two classes only . He constantly complained about autistic children getting yelled at on a regular basis as well . Any bullying by other kids was labeled rough play as well .

The teachers are real professionals who truly are interested in the success and well-being of all their students. One can feel the loving care when he is in the building.
