The teachers are not engaged with their students and they overall do not know how to teach. The students are completely, unbelievably, left on their own with no support from teachers or their fellow students. Some teachers are somewhat good but most only care about getting the job done so they can get paid, which is kinda sad considering they don't even get paid that much. Many students do not feel like they are learning anything because of classroom interruptions and because of the teachers poor job of teaching. I go to grant currently and I'm surprised I even knew how to use a chrome book because of their poor education to us students. The teachers do not care how the students feel. I have cried in class before and the teacher has told me to go sit in the hallway because I was "interrupting class". I'm sorry if me crying for a legitimate reason interrupts the learning process of students who aren't even paying attention, but maybe you should ask me if I'm okay or if I want to talk about it after class. Also teachers think using the bathroom is a privilege and its not. There is no control over my bladder and I can't help it. A student needed to go to the bathroom for feminine reasons and the teacher told her to wait till the end of class which ends at 10:50 and it was only 10 o'clock. Overall this school is not a good place for your kids and no one in their right mind should send their kids here. If you want your kids to do well in life don't send them to Grant.

Grant High school is, in lack of better words, bad. Some of the teachers were great, and very few students were accepting. The administration would rather believe rumors than investigate. Unless you are in Rotc/Jrotc or football, you are nothing to most people there. I spent most of my high school career at that trash can of a school and was kicked out over rumors. -Elijah

I love the compassion the teachers show.and the counselors along with principal is very understanding. My son has been in grAnt schools since kindergarten.

Grant cares deeply about the students it serves, regardless of the talent level of the child. While most departments at the school are outstanding, the Army JROTC Department has added a significant level of success in helping students achieve higher goals. The Grant Parish school system gets huge bang for its buck with the ROTC program.
