My son in kindergarten was slapped by a second grader on the bus because he was poking him. I was told the second grader would not be in trouble because his parents said it was okay to hit my 5 year old. That's a 3 year age gap. "All parents teach their kids differently" the school was in agreement that my 5 year old deserved to be slapped because he "didn't keep his hands to himself" for poking the other kid.

I have grandchildren who go to this school and they have thrived, doing well with grades and social interactions. The principal is an excellent leader, concerned about the welfare of both the children and the staff! The atmosphere and harmony in the school is second to none in my opinion!

My granddaughter goes to this school. Her teachers were not at all qualified to teach a child with high adhd or her mental disability. complained to me the board anyone who would listen. They lost their special ed teacher to another school and my granddaughter pd, the price. She had a miserable year because the normal kids bullied her. The sped office ladies were the most gracious people in this school.

My Dauughter went to Drummonds Elem she loved it so much she said she wanted to be a Teacher . and guess what she now is and Teaches in Tipton Co Tn .

Wonderful teachers. Unfortunately my son was only there half of 4th and all of 5th grade. I wish we had moved to Drummonds sooner! The teachers were always understanding and helpful. My son had a very bad experience at his previous school and was afraid of starting a new school. He ended up wishing he could stay there longer! He loved the school and the teachers. I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a good solid education for your child and a staff that is always willing to support your child.

We absolutely love Drummonds. We moved here from Virginia and made it a point to live in Tipton County instead of Shelby County. We have been very pleased with the school. The administration is great, they great my daughter by name every day. We are relocating soon and will be very sad to leave this school. It is the perfect example of a community school that cares about the students and the quality of education and enrichment they receive. I also love that they welcome volunteers with open arms.
