Great teachers and staff who really care about the students!

We transferred our kids thinking a small school would be great and offer more attention and better education. I was disappointed in the clicks that exclude new kids and the parents do it to. If you aren't from there or don't have relatives from there don't expect your child to be picked for any activities or awards. The special treatment is bad. I took my kids out right away and not a moment to soon.

There are many things that make Drummond Public Schools a wonderful place for my child to learn. Class sizes are small so my child has one on one attention and opportunity to learn from teachers. The teachers at Drummond are involved and care about students and what they learn. The atmosphere at Drummond is almost quasi private. Many of the items that the school need they manage to get donations for and actually expend some effort in being creative thinkers when it comes to getting things done. They just received a $100,000 grant to assist with the building of a multipurpose room and safe room large enough to shelter all students. Two years ago they installed wind power generators to power the school and resell electricity to OG&E. Kudos to their agriculture program and all that it provides for the kids involved. We are very happy with the education and the outlook provided by Drummond Public Schools. Go Bulldogs!

Rude and unfriendly teaching staff and Principal! My daughter was a transfer student into this district and I did not even allow her to finish the school year here. They may ask for involvment of parents but it is not appreciated whatsoever. Unless you are born and raised in this town you do not feel welcome. I would not recommend this school to anyone for small children.

NO COMMUNICATION!!! Every year this school has given me a reason to NOT want to be here. My oldest has been here since pre K and now in 5th. They NEVER send home notes/letters about sickness or headlice. If I don't know about the problem I can't help prevent it. Secretaries don't even know what goes on in the school. Principal and superentendent are never around to talk to and they back each other and don't care to truely hear what the parents have to say.Teachers are not creative and never stay after to help a student. Not enough parent/ teacher communication. Some teachers have no emotions/ never smile or they just yell. My kids always had way too much homework/ books to read and were pushed too hard. How teachers graded was a joke! Mrs Carel is the ONLY teacher who had a God given talent for teaching. She's the GREATEST!! every kid should have the chance to experience her. Absolutely LOVE her!! So much more wrong that I haven't mentioned but hopefully parents will read this and think twice before they make the same mistake. Overall the school has completely failed my kids and me!!
