So, first of let me say that I’m not the best student when it comes to school, and other people’s experiences are their own. Personally though, I loved this school. My grades were below average and my social skills weren’t all that good. But while I couldn’t attend school due to my declining mental health, my counselor Ms Philips did not judge me and really got me back on track. Even let me attend important memorable senior events with my poor grades. [I was working hard towards success at the time though and eventually did graduate on time earlier this year. :)] I’ll just say that personally I feel as if this school is mostly a judge free zone, lots of diversity and just students doing their own thing! (It may be a few troublesome moments where fights would break out and it’s just because kids have their own problems socially, but staff break it apart fast and even saw a counselor calm a girl down in her office and console her. I happened to be in the back doing make-up school work when that happened.) So staff are nice and the teachers were understanding about my situations at home. Although I kept getting attendance letters because of my mental health, they gave me chance after chance and I’m grateful for that. I’m still sorry I wasn’t the best student--It was a me thing, I’m just so grateful that the teachers really helped me get to where I needed to be despite my problems. Thank you D high

i hated this school so bad. the teachers here don’t care about their students they just here for the money.. the whole entire school district doesn’t care about our mental health, it’s no way i should feel like this going to school every morning. y’all should be so ashamed of yourselves.

I’m not sure where 5 stars came from, There are multiple fights in the school daily and the students that want to learn can’t learn and get the attention they need due to teachers always burning out fires. Also favorites on the sports teams and kids that are failing grades are allowed to participate in sports , mainly basketball. If you are looking for scholarships and you are a really good student or a student athlete do not attend Dover High School in Delaware.

After graduating from DHS, I was very prepared academically, artistically, athletically, and socially to excel at a prestigious tier one university.

AP classes are offered and college credits are given.DHS offers a wide range of electives to chose from. My daughters have enjoyed fine arts and band. The band offers various options to select from such as pit band, pep band, has honor band, regular band, jazz band, and the famous drum line. The sport selection is also fabulous since it offers a spectrum of sports to select from. My daughter enjoyed Lacross, Field Hockey, and Indoor and Outdoor Track. They also have Soccer, Baseball,Football, and I am certain I missed of few sports worth mentioning .The educators are awesome not only do they enjoy teaching the classes but they get involved with the students to enhance and enrich their lives with school trips to Europe, local field trips and labs. Also for CNA majors the teachers place them in local hospitals so the students can practice what they have learned. Much like a college practium. Thank you DHS staff for being the leader of high academic education in the nation.

My school is great, the teachers are excellent, and Dover is quite better than CR the high school.
