Our family has had an incredible experience at Shelton Academy. It's a community where we truly feel at home. The communication with teachers is excellent; they are always approachable and genuinely care about student's progress. The schools instills strong Catholic values, blending academic growth with spiritual development, which is very important for us. The sense of community among families and dedication to Fatih and family values make Shelton a wonderful place for children to learn and grow. We couldn't be happier with our choice.

Horrible school, when I enrolled my daughter I thought I had made the right choice, unfortunately a huge and wrong disappointment. The teachers are not bilingual and do not have the required training to teach. Many of the teachers have not taught a class of students before. They have no idea or experience in teaching. Most do not even speak English correctly. The children do not advance from one year to the next. It is very sad but true. We have been in school for more than 6 weeks and the students are still missing their books. The books for the 2024-2025 school year never arrived on time. Very important is that the children did not have books since the beginning of the year and we are going for the seventh week of classes and there are still some who are missing their books to be able to learn and study. At the same time they are tested weekly. There are no rules, nor are children taught empathy for others. A lot is paid for such a poor service. Verbal and physical abuse between children is brutal on a daily basis. Bullying is horrendous on a daily basis and is frequent. Since there are no rules there are no set consequences. There is no protection for your daughters or sons. The administration is focused on more $$ to grow the school even if it is in a bad way. Not everything that glitters is gold. They are lying to parents with the Mentoring program that really does not exist, it is a sales pitch, so parents fall into the trap

"I had a very bad experience at Shelton Academy. It's all about money, not values or education. They treated my son as if he were the worst kid. Even the teachers have no values or respect for the children.

The school has been a complete deception what you see in the tour is not what you get all the amazing activities are after school activities that you have to pay for. They’re not a part of your tuition there’s major disorganization between the admin, staff, teachers and parents they have a horrible communication And they’re not holding up to standards . There are good amount of students that need to go to ESOL classes and instead are put in mainstream doing so makes the student feel like they’re drowning and the students who don’t need the extra assistance aren’t able to be challenged. There’s no differentiation. This creates a huge educational gap, Their learning gap is atrocious! During the tour, they will talk about IEP‘s. Ignore all of it. There’s no support for any student that needs IEP assistance regardless of what that assistance might look like extra time whatever the case might be, do not be fooled! The students I’ve seen are averaging a year behind, and they’re on honor roll. Teachers are understaffed and overworked sometimes filling two classes in one classroom and unsupervised! During the tour of the school, you’ll see them brag about all the extracurricular activities and sports that are available to ALL the children. Be very cautious and ask lots of questions because one there’s not enough teachers so they don’t have many of these extracurricular activities available during school they have room and supplies that’s it! don’t be surprised if you find yourself having to pay for art and music and any other kind of sport that your child wants to be in as an afterschool expense because they’ll have to take that after school. To spend near $20,000 a year for school for bad education and no growth, But to spend that money and also not have any more than two options for sports That’s when my eyes opened up to realize they will nickel and dime every bit of the day. Small example but shows the difference if my student pays for lunch with their Apple Pay lunch is $10 if student pays for the same exact lunch through school payment it is six dollars. As disappointing as a school is, I am glad I made this mistake early , classes, that you do, or don’t take in high school, carry a heavyweight when looking into colleges. Well have to work hard to make up for this year we completely lost! LOST a yr and paid for it!

The worst experience I´ve lived in this school. The last year was good but chaotic. This year has been a disaster. My children don´t learn anything, they promise you things that they don´t fulfill or they do the opposite. The best teachers are leaving. The new administration is a terrible mess. They treat your children like merchandise, if they are "defective" they discard them with lies. They only care about money and use religion to wash away their lousy attitudes. The staff in general is very friendly but they have changed a lot in the last few months.

We had a regular experience the first year. The second year, with the new principals, it was the worst experience possible!!!!. This school doesn’t have any good standards academically and morality speaking. They use the religious in an old-fashion way, they are totally the opposite way to expand a mind of any kid. This is not only my vision a lot of families and very good teachers left the school this year.

Admin and staff is extremely rude and condescending. They will run inside the building at 8:14am so that a late $5 fee applies if you drop off your child at 8:15am. My kid was in preK and they told me they were “trying to instill discipline and punctuality from a young age” more like they were ready to take your money from all sides possible ! and if not straight from your bank they will charge you another monthly fee if you give them a credit card. Offensive registration fees. Go to better schools all over Doral. These crooks pretend to be a Catholic school, with a made-up Anglo name but is just a money extraction business geared to Doral families who feel their kids need be sheltered as if they lived in Venezuela still.

I would not recommend this school to anybody. Don’t be fooled by the smiles and hugs when they greet you and try to convince you how wonderful the school is. Once you are in they will charge you every time they get without disclosing the fees in advance and will inundate you with endless rules, no flexibility or understanding in anything. All they care about is money. Stay away.

I made the tour for Pre K and met some of the staff! All of them simply AMAZING... Since I entered the school, I noticed not only the professionalism but also how happy and respectful all the students were. The Pre K director (who personally gave me the tour) was beyond friendly, professional and experienced.

Academically fitted for pourpose. None of the advertisement, that they sell when you visit the firts time, is true. All the sport activities as well as the extracurricular activities are not part of the regular school enrollment, if you dont attend the extracurricular activities, you will not be part of the school team. The lunch is terrible, with bad quality food even serving rotten food. they dont have bus for transport. All the shows are around 4 or five kids that are the favorites because their affilation with the Board of directors, generating frustration on other kids with way more talent. They dont have a Informatic program, don't be fooled by the view of a classroom full of Apple Computers, the students don't have acces to them. You will pay for every little event that they come across, from bringing the food for selling in special events or paying for aT-shirt for appearing backstage in the shows that your kid is not part of. My kid was happy there till she started to become aware of the situation. For Us as parent had been 2 years of frustration. Save your experience and look for better place.

I attended Shelton Academy for the majority of my academic career. I am currently attending one of the most prestigious high schools in my area. I felt completely prepared both academically and socially. I was given the tools to be confident and to reach my goals effectively. The education provided was EXCELLENT! I am top of my class and I would not be able to have reached this achievement without the stellar teachers Shelton Academy has to offer. The school allows for children to be innovative. Shelton is an AMAZING school, and I, as a student who graduated from there, completely recommend it to any and all parents who are looking for a school for their children. My Shelton family will forever be in my heart!

My daughter's years spent at Shelton Academy were ages 5-7, kindergarten through 2nd grade. When she woke up in the mornings, she couldn't wait to go to school. Shelton teachers and staff made her learning experience there a parents dream come true. There was never a dull moment at Shelton. Shelton Academy was a family filled atmosphere. My daughter met some of her best friends there. Not only did Shelton offer great academics but athletics as well. The aquatics and tennis courts are spectacular. Swimming once a week was an added bonus in the curriculum. The field trips were phenomenal learning trips for my daughter. She has always been a bright child and very inquisitive. Shelton Academy just added on to her creativity and high demand to learn. I could not have chose a better school for her early learning developments. Although we wish we could have kept her there, my 5 year old son and my 7 year old step son would not have been able to benefit due to other financial obligations.

Our experience at Shelton Academy has been amazing. My kids are learning with hands on experiences and with an eduction beyond the notebooks. The marine biology program is absolutely great. They don't only get knowledge in the lab at school, but the experience of going to the sea and learn hands on, is great. We feel very blessed to have our kids attending Shelton. Their education is great and the ethics and values that our kids are learning everyday are the a big part of the ir program. At Shelton they get to learn, play and do sports. Their facilities are amazing, and we trulls feel it's the best place!

My experience at Shelton has been amazing, but more importantly is the amazing education that my child is receiving at Shelton Academy. This school follows a very hands on approach to teaching, the project base learning is incredible, the marine biology program is out of this world, the curriculum is advancing the students to incredible results in state test, the special area classes reach the students in many levels of the arts, but most importantly the love and dedication of the teachers, administrators and staff is what makes Shelton outshine all the rest. We are a family.
