My school is made up a group of professionals that are committed to educating students, by using hands-on techniques. The school is a technical school that prepares students for entry level jobs in industry. Students are succeeding because of successful implementation of the school motto "life long learning."

Each Current River Career Center program works with an advisory council committee to build a curriculum that will best train students for employment in the South East Missouri area and beyond. The Agriculture Education Department, Auto Service Technology program, Carpentry program, Health Services program, and Multimedia program are working improvements to our programs and using to help: Student Proficiency Level: Students will be required to meet the level of proficiency that is required to meet standards used in the workplace. A competency profile will be maintained for each student listing the competencies completed satisfactorily throughout the course. Student Portfolio: Students will prepare a portfolio showing their quality work and competencies achieved. These portfolios will be evaluated to determine the mastery of student performance standards. Student Evaluations: Students will be evaluated on complete projects, presentations, completion of simulations, and interpretative exercises.

My school is a trade school preparing students for the world of trade and industry. Updated technology is used everyday to ensure the students are getting a quality education.
