Community is very good and the staff members work very hard to keep the campus safe and clean.

This school is amazing actually I went here for a few years as my older siblings did too. The teachers are kind helpful caring the staff is so good and very supportive everyone is so nice. The students are very nice welcoming and the varieties of clubs and electives you could choose from are great its exactly what middle school is about experimenting trying new different things the people are all so kind like you will find a friend even before the first week of school ends because that's how friendly everyone is and like I said before the varities are endless and so fun you can have a good time while learning and the teachers make everything so fun like you can always look forward to going to science class. Overall it's a great school I don't know about you but I would want my kids to go here .My experience here personally was great I really felt comfortable and happy and still felt like I was learning something everyday I love this place and the people highly recommend.

After the pandemic, we have been going here since August 2021. Even though school has informed and educated the partents, They wouldn't follow the morning traffic principles. A lot of parent break the signal signs and turns so it causes a lot of back up and traffic problems. I doubt that the parents of this school are outlaw and low level.

I am currently attending 7th grade at Chaparral, and the my overall experience with this school is great. Most of the teachers are kind and helpful, and will help you during break if you need additional help. But a very small minority of teachers are very strict, unfair, or incompetent (talks for 5 minutes and makes the students do independent work for the rest of the period). I have only had one of these unfair teachers when I was in sixth grade, but none in 7th grade. So overall the teachers are very nice, but there are bad ones here and there. There's a moderate amount of homework, not enough to take away your family time, but enough to keep you busy for at least an hour everyday. The school atmosphere is good with students usually being respectable to each other, although you can hear swear words at lunch or during break. Bullying does very occasionally happen, but I think that's basically unavoidable for a middle school. And the bullies usually face severe consequences. For math there are several levels, so you have to take a placement test to determine what level you would be in to avoid smarter students learning everything again. There are also an elective class, and students are free to choose from a variety of subjects according to their interests (Spanish, computer science, choir/orchestra, etc). The schedule is a weird rotating schedule (you can get more info from the school website), but it's actually pretty nice once you get used to it (so you don't have to do PE in the morning every time). There are six classes in total. So even though there are some small negatives and occasional drama, overall this is a pretty good school to go to, and I would recommend it.

I'm currently in Seventh grade here. Chaparral is a prestigious school that requires critical thinking for students, and the teachers prepare you well for high school life, they train you how to have better time management and advises to get your homework down, and having good grades. This school doesn't just care about academics, it focuses heavily on each student's character. It may not apply to all teahers that they really go beyond the lesson plans, some go beyond their own lesson plans, to make you be independent even under pressuring circumstances, I recommend if your child is in seventh grade, that he/she attend traditional core and have Ms. M.Lee. She is strict, and may look harsh at first, but she is the best teacher to prepare your child for high school, she goes beyond lessons and is dedicated to all of her students. I recommend this school for everyone who embraces creativity, perserverance, and learning.

This is my son's first year at Chaparral and attending 8th grade. I couldn't be happier for him. This school not only have the best teachers and staff but great opportunities for your child to excel and participate in many school activities, sports programs, awesome educational field trips. Kids are nice and friendly. He is really enjoying this school year so far and looking forward for what it is to come!
