I have had four grandkids come to Armstrong. Three have already being promoted. I have one more to complete her last year. We have been very fortunate to have wonderful teachers that care and have taught and prepared my grandkids for a high academic future. Presently, they have a caring and supportive principal, Mrs. Tedesco. She has made sure our kids have many opportunities to learn through assemblies, field trips and school events. I will miss the teachers, staff and principal at this great school. Two of my grandsons are presently in honor classes at middle school and university. That reflects the learning and support they obtained from this great school. I recommend this school to anyone looking for a great school.

I have children who attended and promoted from this school and they had a good experience. They liked all of their teachers. I had a good relationship with the teachers and the principal Mrs. Tedesco. Whenever I had questions about my child, they were available to answer them. The principal was very approachable and cares about her students and school. As a parent, it was important to me that my children were in a safe and supportive environment, and I definitely felt that here.

Armstrong Elementary School provides a very safe environment and explore many different ways of learning allowing for a better education than most. Staff and teachers are also very kind hearted and welcoming to all students. Whenever there is an issue they always try to take care of it. It is a very safe, clean, kind, and welcoming school.

I have a child in kindergarten. So far, it hasn’t been a great first year of school for my child. I can definitely tell that my child’s teacher is not happy working with little kids. For my child’s first experience in school, it has not been warm or welcoming by the teacher. I also do not like the way the teacher talks to the kids. They are 5 year olds and the way she speaks to them is as if they are older. It’s okay to be stern with kids, but also warm. To be honest, I was very close to moving my child schools in the beginning of the school year because I did not get good energy from the teacher.

The principal at this site does not support the teachers nor students. She is defensive and denies comments she has made to teachers. She will never admit she is wrong, instead gets defensive and denies any wrong doing,

A country, business, community, school, family...is as good as its leader(s). Ms. Tedesco, the current principal, seems to be doing her job with no emotional interest in the students or teachers. In a conference with her recently, to address students making derogitry racial slurs to each other; she cut me off twice while I was talking, was defensive, impersonal and denied making an inappropriate statement to a classroom full of students in regards to bullying. It is not surprising that there was a recent fist fight between two students.

All four of my children attended this school. Their teachers were always respectful, knowledgeable, kind, companionate, and helpful. I had 2 students with special needs and they always communicated their progress. I loved that the school offered fun family days. Kinder teachers are the base to all the grades and they are awesome! I read reports of bullies, but bullies are even at the best schools. Parents need to also take action and ownership of their children's behavior. I disciplined my child and I act respectful to my student teachers to be a role model too. Don't forget you are your child's first teacher and therefore must act respectful so that your child can learn from you. Great PBIS school as well.

One of the better schools in the District, I was planning on putting my daughter in Pantera, but TK was offered at Armstrong. In a year, I have fallen in love with the staff and the school. Very diverse student body, they're part of the 1:1 Program and their PBIS SOAR program to help create morally responsible kids is a plus (they were just granted Gold Status for 2018). Like any other school, you'll notice a few things that could use some work, but over all a great school that both my daughters will be attending their elementary years

My daughter love Armstrong Elementary School. Her Sub teacher Miss Martinez is so nice to her student, very smart and lots of patient to teach the student. Thank you for being a good teacher for the 3rd grader.....but my daughter complaining some of the yard duty lady that they're so strict. not too much strict yard duty lady.

Things have changed so much since my oldest daughter started. Now there is no parent participation which only makes the kids suffer. Plus there are way too many bussed kids. I'm moving my youngest out of here next year. The environment is toxic. PTA tries but parents don't want to help. You can't have it all and do nothing. Step up and help lazy parents!

This school has the worst principal I have ever encountered so far. She takes sides with bully's and does not get to the root of the problem, just embaresses students and covers up her behavior with false professionalism. I see right thru her. I will not be enrolling my young daughter into kindergarten next year because I can't handle another 6 years dealing with Mrs. Sanchez. My 6th grader is on her last year at this joke of a school and thank God is almost out of there.

Armstrong's approach to educating their students are insufficient. My daughter constantly comes home and does not understand how to do her homework. It is hard to understand how this is taking place when she's there for seven hours. She will not be attending this school next year.

I have attended to this school four years ago. This school was great and was surprising pleasing as a student, back when Mrs.Savage was around. Even the unsmart students were doing well. :C . Now since there is the new principle, i think this school is failing now. But they do have great sixth grader teachers!

ARMSTRONG IS TRULY THE BEST SCHOOL EVER, both of my kids went here from preschool to third grade. I wish we still lived in the area so my kids could still attend this GREAT SCHOOL. The Principal is great she is always out and about making sure things are running smoothly. She always makes herself available to parents and not just sitting in her office. All the teachers truly care about all their students.
